Confirmed Corn Soup is a buildable comfort decoration rather than an edible dish and made that explicit, added an overview, a properties table, tips, and wikilinks to the build mat

Corn Soup is a Food Displays decoration in Windrose, not a dish you eat. It is a dressed bowl placed on a flat surface inside a base to raise the area's Comfort rating. In-game it is described as some corn soup to raise the spirits after a storm.
As a comfort decoration it works only within Bonfire range, and Comfort bonuses in this category do not stack, so a single placed bowl gives the full +1 and extra copies add nothing.
Corn Soup belongs to the Kitchen comfort category. Comfort decorations contribute to a base's overall Comfort level, which in turn extends the Rested buff players carry when they leave home. Because it is a build piece rather than a consumable, it has a structure Max Health value and is placed from the build menu rather than eaten from the inventory.
It is taught by the Decoration: Hearty Meal Set plan, a Recipe Papers unlock that adds the whole Hearty Meal Set of food displays at once.

Place one bowl per room. Since the Kitchen comfort bonus does not stack, a second Corn Soup in the same area is wasted; spread different food displays around instead.
Keep it inside the lit Bonfire radius. Outside that range the comfort bonus does not apply.
The Corn and Cayenne Pepper cost is cheap once a farm is running, so it is an easy early comfort piece for a kitchen build.
