Coconut Oil is an Uncommon cooking ingredient in Windrose. It is a processed product, meaning it is crafted at a refining station rather than gathered, and it feeds into several mid-tier cooking recipes that rely on tropical produce. Coconut Oil lives in the same recipe family as Flax Oil and Vinegar; all three are Cutting Table refinements.

Coconut Oil is produced at the Cutting Table, the upgrade station attached to the Cooking Fire. The recipe consumes four Coconuts per unit and produces a single Coconut Oil. The craft timer is short, so Coconut Oil is usually batch-produced in sessions of six to ten units alongside other Cutting Table recipes.
Coconuts are a Ground Plant in the Farming System. Unlike Seedbed crops, Coconut trees are placed directly on flat terrain without needing Fertile Soil. A small orchard of four or five Coconut trees at the base produces enough Coconut throughput for ongoing Coconut Oil refinement without routing any new gathering time into the loop.
Wild Coconut trees are also common along Coastal Jungle beaches; harvesting them during early exploration runs is the fastest way to stockpile the first few units of Coconut Oil before the Cutting Table is built.
Cooking recipes that combine tropical produce with meat or fish. Coconut Oil appears in several mid-tier dishes at the Cooking Fire and Cutting Table.
Some late-game desserts and drinks list Coconut Oil as a secondary ingredient.
Coconut Oil stacks to 20 and weighs little, so it is a convenient pantry item to carry on longer ship expeditions.
Plant Coconut trees on a flat pad near the Cutting Table so harvested Coconuts can be queued into Coconut Oil in the same trip.
Coconut-based cooking is most valuable before long sea expeditions, because the dishes often have generous stack sizes and keep their buffs over substantial travel distances.
If the Cutting Table is busy with other crafts during a food prep session, stockpile raw Coconuts first and run all Coconut Oil units in a dedicated batch to avoid thrashing the station queue.
