Overview

Ceiling Chain is a Chandeliers decoration piece in Windrose. It is a short length of wrought iron chain that hangs from a ceiling or overhead beam and acts purely as a mount point. Unlike the lamps in the same set it casts no light of its own and grants no comfort, so it is a building tool rather than a finished fixture.

Function

The Ceiling Chain exists to suspend a hanging light below a high ceiling. Attach it to the beam first, then hang a Hanging Lamp or Pendant Lamp from it to drop the light into rooms that would otherwise have too much headroom between the lamp and the floor. Because it adds no comfort itself, the comfort value of the room comes entirely from the lamp you hang on it.

Placement Notes

• Build it within Bonfire range like other base decorations.

• Use it to lower a Hanging Lamp or Pendant Lamp in tall halls and double-height rooms.

• Comfort +1 bonuses within the Chandeliers sub-category do not stack, so adding more pieces of the same type only changes the look, not the comfort total.
