Big Guns is a flag design cosmetic for ships in Windrose. It is one of the standards that flies from a ship's flagpole rather than a hull paint scheme. The flag is applied at a player-built Wharf through the Manage Ship menu's Customization tab. Once unlocked, it can be flown by any ship the player owns at no extra currency cost.

Give a Buccaneer a cannon, and they'll still hit the target.

How to Unlock

Unlocked by reading the Style Book: Buccaneers Flag Designs, sold by the Rogue Buccaneers Provisioner. Reading the book permanently adds the flag to the Wharf customization menu for that character, and a single purchase unlocks the entire Buccaneers flag set, so Big Guns arrives alongside its companion designs.

Faction

Themed for ships flying Rogue Buccaneers colours. The flavor line ties the flag's cannon motif to that faction's gunnery identity, but the cosmetic is purely visual: a ship of any class can fly it once the style book is read.

How to Apply

Sail the ship to a Wharf and dock it. Open the Manage Ship menu, switch to the Customization tab, and select Flag. The unlocked flag designs appear in the option list, and previewing one swaps the live ship model immediately. Confirm to apply; there is no currency cost on the application itself, only the one-time style book purchase.

Style Book Contents

Big Guns belongs to the Style Book: Buccaneers Flag Designs, the flag set themed for the Rogue Buccaneers. Buying and reading the book at the Rogue Buccaneers Provisioner unlocks all of its designs for that character at once. The cannon-and-buccaneer motif and the flavor line about a Buccaneer always hitting the target tie this particular flag to the faction's gunnery reputation.

Other factions sell their own flag sets through parallel style books, including Style Book: Brethren Flag Designs, Style Book: Smugglers Flag Designs, and Style Book: Privateer Flag Designs. A flag is purely cosmetic, so flying Big Guns gives no combat bonus; it simply marks your allegiance on the open water.
