Alchemical Base is the foundation ingredient for almost every brewed consumable. It weighs nothing and stacks to 40, so it is cheap to keep a large reserve. Most healing items and combat elixirs start from a stock of Alchemical Base, which makes the Misty Orchid supply line one of the more important early alchemy investments.

How to Obtain

Alchemical Base is crafted, not gathered. Combine one Clay Bottle with one Misty Orchid at an Alchemy Table. The craft is nearly instant at one second, so the only real cost is keeping orchids in stock. Misty Orchid is foraged in the Coastal Jungle, and the recipe unlocks with the Basic Alchemy discovery.
