Progression Tracks
October 16, 2026 at 06:25 PM
Initial version (2026-10-16)
Experience in WARDOGS is earned on separate progression tracks, and each track gates its own weapons, gear and vehicles behind a level and a one-off unlock cost. Unlocking an item makes it available; buying it at the vendor in a match is a separate price, paid every time. The values are seasonal: the developers have said each season carries its own experience curve and item order. This page records what the Season 2 patch notes published for the season that began on 15 October 2026. Earning the cash and experience that feed the tracks is covered under The Cash Economy, and the roles the tracks reward under Combat Roles.
The Season 1 changelog of 9 September 2026 named six tracks: Career, Medic, Support, Driver, Pilot and Recon. The Season 2 notes list seven, WARDOG, Assault, Medic, Recon, Support, Pilot and Driver, and they describe Season 1 positions on the WARDOG and Assault tracks too, so both existed before Season 2. The notes appear to use WARDOG for the track the Season 1 changelog called Career: both documents put the Deagle at level 85 and a $500,000 vehicle at level 90, the Artillery Tank in one and the SPH-2 in the other. The studio has not commented on the naming, so this wiki gives each name where its source uses it.
Track | What it carries in Season 2 |
|---|---|
WARDOG | The general track: supply pallets, sidearms, special ammunition types, Level 3 helmets and armour, parachutes, several optics, a Lonestar-only music tape and access to the Gold Market |
Assault | Assault rifles and the tools for attacking enemy bases, including C4 with its remote detonator and the Molotov Cocktail |
Medic | Submachine guns, the Medical Bag, the Defibrillator and the smaller medical items |
Recon | Sniper and marksman rifles, long-range scopes, ghillie suits, the Compound Bow, the Claymore and the Range Finder |
Support | Machine guns, the MAAWS and MGL-40 launchers, the 9K333 Verba, shotgun chokes and the Heavy Drill |
Pilot | Helicopters, from the Little Bird to the Havoc, plus music tapes |
Driver | Ground vehicles and tanks, plus music tapes, and from Season 2 the SPH-2 |
Season 2 lowered the total experience needed at every published level. The studio said levels 10 to 20 had been a slow grind in which many players stalled before unlocking the gear that defines each role, and that reaching level 20 now takes less than half the playtime it did in Season 1. The figures are the role track totals given in the Season 2 notes.
Level | Season 1 total | Season 2 total | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
10 | 35,000 | 25,000 | 29% quicker |
15 | 110,000 | 54,750 | 50% quicker |
20 | 250,000 | 111,500 | 55% quicker |
25 | 365,000 | 206,600 | 43% quicker |
30 | 500,000 | 318,200 | 36% quicker |
35 | 750,000 | 525,000 | 30% quicker |
40 | 975,000 | 712,500 | 27% quicker |
45 | 1,225,000 | 920,850 | 25% quicker |
50 | 1,500,000 | 1,150,000 | 23% quicker |
Two details stand out. The Season 2 totals for levels 10, 15 and 20 are exactly the values that applied before Season 1 slowed the curve. And from level 25 upward, the Season 1 totals quoted in the Season 2 notes are higher than the ones the Season 1 changelog published (1,500,000 rather than 1,000,000 at level 50, for example). Both are the studio's own figures, so each is given as published; the Season 1 changelog's version is under Update History.
The notes describe the reshuffle as moving most attachments to earlier levels or onto new tracks, so that players who could not reach them before get a chance to try them. Every change they list is below, track by track. A level change reads old level to new level, and an unlock cost change reads old cost to new cost. Items marked new arrived with Season 2.

As of 16 October 2026 neither the Season 2 patch notes nor the launch announcement sets out in writing what carried over from Season 1 and what was reset when the season began. The day after launch the studio said it had pushed a backend update with driver progression fixes and a fix for a Driver track exploit that let many players reach tanks too early; see the Update History page. The Player Skills system, which the studio has described as permanent progression that carries across seasons, is still not in the game; see The Metagame.
