Added the official 250,000-wishlist milestone graphic (2026-09-21)
VOID DIVER: Escape from the Abyss was shown at Tokyo Game Show 2026 (TGS 2026) at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, in September 2026. The game was playable on the booth of its publisher RED BRICK HOUSE in the Indie Game Area, with merchandise, on-site events, and cosplaying staff, and on the show's first public day the studio used the stage to announce that the full release is scheduled for January 2027. The show also brought the game past 250,000 wishlists. It was the fourth in-person expo of the year for the game, after PlayX4 2026, BitSummit 2026, and BIC 2026.

Everyone who played received a VOID DIVER clear file and stickers as a gift. For what the demo contains, see Demo.
The studio prepared several activities alongside the playable demo, following the same pattern as its BIC 2026 booth a month earlier.

On September 19, 2026, the show's third day and first public day, STUDIO NEMO lead producer Baek Ho-young took the stage to present the game, its release schedule, and its development roadmap. Two cosplayers opened the presentation by introducing characters: Ga-young, the first playable Diver, who heads into the dungeon in search of her missing older brother, and Elara, the AI assistant who appears inside a monitor and helps the player at the BALUSHA Antique Shop.
The headline of the presentation was the release date. VOID DIVER is scheduled to launch in January 2027 as a full release, with the exact day to be announced later. The producer said the demo's reception had been better than expected, that wishlists had passed 250,000 with a significant share coming from Japan, and that thanks to the steady feedback from the demo the team had decided to skip Early Access and go straight to a full launch. The same day the studio published the date and the roadmap on Steam; the roadmap is covered in full on Early Access and Release.
The presentation also touched on points that the written roadmap does not spell out. The producer said that save data from the demo is planned to carry over to the full version, that mod support is planned, that work is under way to lower the initial barrier to entry and refine overall balance, and that players will be able to pet the cat in the lounge after launch. Asked why the date was announced in Japan, he said the reaction there had been strong, with Japan having recently overtaken China to become roughly the game's largest wishlist region, and that with few major shows between September and a January release, TGS was the right moment.

On September 17, 2026, the opening day of the show, the studio announced that the game had reached 250,000 wishlists, up from the 200,000 it passed at the close of the June Steam Next Fest. The announcement invited players to join the official Discord server to see teaser images of characters and monsters planned for the full release version.
TGS 2026 was planned as the first five-day Tokyo Game Show, running September 17 to 21. On September 19 the organizer announced that the final day, Monday, September 21, a national holiday, would be cancelled because Typhoon No. 25 was expected to bring intensifying wind and rain and disrupt public transport, while Sunday, September 20 would go ahead as scheduled. The VOID DIVER booth therefore ran for four days.
TGS 2026 was the second joint outing between STUDIO NEMO and RED BRICK HOUSE after their co-publishing partnership began at BIC 2026 in August. The publisher described it as its first global game show and the presentation as its first stage event, and said it intended to keep expanding its contact with players outside Korea starting from TGS.
