Geraint is a boss encounter in Tides of Annihilation. He was named on 15 July 2026 as one of the two bosses playable in the hands-on demo the studio is bringing to Gamescom 2026, alongside Mordred. The two fights sit at the ends of the demo's branching paths, so a single session leads to one of them rather than both.
Very little about Geraint has been shown publicly. What the studio has confirmed is limited to his role in the demo build:

Because the demo splits into an exploration-led route and a boss-led route, Geraint is one of the first encounters players outside the studio will fight rather than watch. Anything beyond that, including where he falls in the finished campaign, is unannounced.
That changed on 15 and 16 August 2026, when the studio ran its first offline hands-on in Chengdu. Geraint was one of the boss fights in that build, so his encounter has now been played and recorded in public ahead of the show floor in Cologne. Capture from those sessions is currently the only look at how the fight actually works, and the studio has still not published anything about his moveset, his arena or his place in the story.
The name comes from Arthurian tradition, where Geraint son of Erbin is a knight of Arthur's court. His story survives mainly in the Welsh tale usually printed as Geraint and Enid and in the closely related French romance about Erec, and it is a marriage story rather than a war story: the knight wins a wife, withdraws from knightly life, doubts her loyalty, and drags her through a series of trials before the pair are reconciled. He is also named as a ruler in south-west Britain in some Welsh material.
None of that has been confirmed as background for the character in this game. Eclipse Glow Games has been explicit that it is reinterpreting the mythos rather than adapting it, and the game has already reworked figures well away from their sources: Mordred is a female demi-god here, Niniane is a shape-shifting companion, and Tyronoe is built out of a single line in a medieval text. Treat the legend above as context for the name only, not as a description of the character players will fight.
In the legend Geraint sits at the Round Table, which makes his appearance as a boss rather than an ally worth noting. The Spectral Knights that Gwendolyn summons through the Dual Frontline Battle System are drawn from that same tradition, and the roster confirmed so far, including Sir Lamorak and Palamedes, leans on the same deeper cuts of Arthurian material. Whether Geraint is an enemy throughout the campaign, a knight who can later be summoned, or both, has not been stated.
The demo runs at Hall 6, booth B-050 in the Koelnmesse during Gamescom 2026, 26 to 30 August. See Platforms and Release for the full event schedule, including the Chengdu hands-on that precedes it and the trailer the studio has said will premiere at Opening Night Live on 25 August.
