The Geordie is a common, small, passive lifeform in Subnautica 2 and one of the first catches most divers make. Eaten raw it restores 20 food, though the databank recommends a thorough cook. It is the healthy cousin of the Electric Geordie, the power-draining variant that plagues the Karakorum industrial zones.

The Geordie is purple with green highlights and is easiest to recognize by the open channel that runs straight through the center of its tubular body, with four curved fins around it. It swims casually, grazes on coral shells, and ignores divers entirely.
The entry, generated under the name Salpapod geordie, describes a jet-propelled omnivore evolved from something like a bony octopus. Its hard mouthparts brush algae off rocks, crush small crustaceans, and cut kelp. Each of the four fins hosts its own stomach pouch with bacteria tuned to part of its diet, and swimming helps stir the food. The central channel is both engine and weapon: muscular pulses jet the Geordie forward, and the channel lining is studded with stinging cells. The entry adds, with unusual directness, do not insert fingers. The assessment rates it edible but loaded with metals and waxes, hence the fabricator cook.
Safe digestion requires the matching entry in the Adaptations system. A Fabricator turns 1x Geordie into Cooked Geordie.
