Scrappy is an adoptable dog in Starsand Island that uniquely exists in two distinct versions. The wild Black-and-White Scrappy wanders central Starsand Town and is tamed through normal affection-building. The shop Brown-and-White Scrappy is a separate puppy sold by Stella at Woof and Wow Pets for 7,500 Coins. Both share the same name but are different individual pets.

The wild Black-and-White Scrappy is found wandering central Starsand Town. Daily feeding with the favorite food (Sheep Cheese Block) reaches Affection Level 3 in approximately 10 to 15 in-game days.

Map tracking: Open the map (M), select the Residents tab, scroll to the bottom of the resident list to find Scrappy's current position.
The brown-and-white shop Scrappy is one of two pets sold at Woof and Wow Pets. Buying skips the affection-grinding process entirely.
Visit Woof and Wow Pets on the north side of Starsand Town, near the Community Center. Open 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily.
Speak with Stella and select Scrappy from her two adoptable pets (the other is Nana).
Pay 7,500 Coins. This is significant in the early game, but the purchase includes a free Pet House blueprint, saving 100 Coins compared to buying the blueprint separately.
Place the Pet House on your property before completing the purchase. Without one, Scrappy cannot move in.
Sheep Cheese Block is the most-used pet food in the game. Five wild pets list it as a favorite or liked food (Crescent, Sheriff, Octa, wild Scrappy, and as a liked food for several others). Producing it in bulk pays off for any player adopting multiple pets.
Sheep Milk source. Buy a Sheep at Green Pasture Ranch from Pastelle. Sheep produce wool when sheared and milk when interacted with after the Auto Milker is built.
Crafting the cheese. Sheep Milk is processed into Sheep Cheese Block at the relevant cooking station. Stockpile multiple blocks in advance.
Fallback foods. If you do not yet own a sheep, Basic Carnivore Pet Food from Stella (+10 affection) is a solid fallback while you build out ranching.
Players who want a dog as quickly as possible can buy the shop Scrappy and skip the affection grind. Players preserving early-game coin can tame the wild Scrappy for free. Both versions count toward the pet-adoption achievements (Fluffy Life, Fluffy Addiction, Fluffy Recluse), but they are separate pets, so adopting both is allowed and contributes two adoptions toward those totals.

Adopting either version of Scrappy contributes one adoption to the pet achievements. Fluffy Life unlocks at 1 adoption, Fluffy Addiction at 3, and Fluffy Recluse at 6. Both Scrappy versions can be owned simultaneously and count separately.
Free Pet House blueprint via the shop. If you plan to adopt multiple pets, buying one shop pet (Scrappy or Nana) gives a free Pet House blueprint. After the first purchase, the blueprint cost 100 Coins applies to extras.
Stockpile cheese before taming. Sheep Cheese Block production has a delay. Have at least 15 blocks ready before starting daily feeding so you do not miss days.
Pair pet visits with town errands. The wild Scrappy is in central Starsand Town, the same area as Bulletin Board posting, Zerine's General Store, and most morning errands.
Consider both versions. Owning both wild and shop Scrappy is one of the fastest paths to the Fluffy Recluse achievement (6 adoptions), since you progress through two of the six on a single name.
