Radiant Core is the first crystal-tier smelting product in Starsand Island, fired from Fluorite at the Furnace I. It is a distinct item from Radiant Crystal: the core is the furnace product, while the crystal is the refined form made from cores at the Gear Smith.

Where to Get Fluorite

Fluorite is one of the most common ores in the early Moonlit Forest, with veins around the Gate of Life and Dreamfall Garden. Its glow makes deposits easy to spot.

Major Uses

• Cutter II. Building Cutter II takes 1 Radiant Core (the upgrade from Cutter I also takes 1), making this the first crystal product most players need.

• Gear Smith. Building the Gear Smith takes 3 Radiant Cores alongside Hardwood Planks, Iron Sheets, and Glass Panes.

• Radiant Crystal refinement. 3 Radiant Cores refine into 1 Radiant Crystal at the Gear Smith, feeding mid-tier tool recipes.

• Lamps and clothing. Several Worktable lighting recipes and Sewing Table outfit pieces consume Radiant Cores directly.

Tips

• Smelt early, smelt cheap. Radiant Cores only need Furnace I and Charcoal, so you can stockpile them well before the recipes that need them unlock.
