Fringetail Glowfish is a bioluminescent fish species in Starsand Island, found exclusively in the Spore Cascade zone within the Moonlit Forest. It is recognizable by its fringed tail fins that emit a soft glow in the underground darkness. The Fringetail Glowfish is one of three Glowfish variants that inhabit the Spore Cascade, alongside the Comet Glowfish and the Pearl Glowfish. It is a Spring-only catch, so timing your Moonlit Forest visits is essential.

The Fringetail Glowfish has a generous 20-hour window from 06:00 to 02:00, but it only appears during Spring. Since the Moonlit Forest is an underground area, weather conditions on the surface still affect spawns. Both sunny and rainy days produce results. The fish responds exclusively to Veggie Bait.
The Spore Cascade is an underground fishing spot inside the Moonlit Forest. To reach it, you must progress through the Exploration Club and unlock access to the Moonlit Forest dungeon. Once inside, navigate to the Spore Cascade water body. Equip Veggie Bait (crafted at the Chopper II from crops or foraged plants) and chum the water to attract fish shadows. Use a mid-tier or better Fishing Rod for comfortable hookups.
