Overview

Eldergrain is a traditional herb variant found in the Moonlit Forest. It thrives in open woodlands, has a warm nature and a pungent flavor. The herb is known for its ability to warm the body, dispel chill, and relieve pain, properties that translate into its use in HP-restoring cooking recipes.

Eldergrain can be gathered by hand in the Moonlit Forest or grown on farm plots using Eldergrain Seeds. It is particularly abundant at Darkwater Shore, making that zone the best place to farm it.

Where to Find

Eldergrain grows in specific zones of the Moonlit Forest, with the highest concentration at Darkwater Shore:

• Darkwater Shore (the primary location; described as packed with Eldergrain)

• Grain Haven (the upper zone, also contains Eldergrain)

• Near the entrance of the Harvest Yard

To reach Darkwater Shore, you need to activate the waterwheel mechanism by hitting the waterwheel button to reverse its direction, then ride it down to the lower area. This zone also has a camp and a fishing spot.

Like other Moonlit Forest plants, Eldergrain nodes respawn daily. To farm it at home, process 2 Eldergrain into Eldergrain Seeds at the Grinder.

Cooking Recipes

Eldergrain is the key ingredient in two cooking recipes:

Both recipes are unlocked through the Exploration Club at the Senior Explorer rank. They are HP-restoring dishes rather than stamina-restoring, designed for combat preparation before tackling the tougher enemies and bosses in the Moonlit Forest.

The Eldergrain Roll requires additional common ingredients (Meat Bites and Flour) alongside Eldergrain, while Flaming Ice Dumplings pairs Eldergrain with the equally rare Midnight Herb. Players should decide which recipe to prioritize based on which secondary ingredients they have available.

Tips

• Darkwater Shore is by far the best zone for Eldergrain. Make sure to visit it on every Moonlit Forest run.

• To reach Darkwater Shore, activate the waterwheel button to reverse its direction and ride it down.

• Eldergrain Roll requires common ingredients (Meat Bites, Flour) that are easier to stockpile, making it the more practical of the two Senior Explorer recipes.

• Flaming Ice Dumplings use both Eldergrain and Midnight Herb, two rare Moonlit Forest materials, so gather both whenever possible.

• Eldergrain is loved by 11 NPCs, tying with Spirit Fruit for the widest loved-gift coverage among Moonlit Forest materials.
