Created guide to the Azure Bay Moonlit Forest zone
Azure Bay is a zone in the Moonlit Forest characterized by its golden bubble waterfall and bioluminescent water features. It is reached after defeating the Crystalith in Crystalith Hideout and contains a second encounter with the Luminfrog.
Azure Bay sits between Crystalith Hideout and Mural Valley in the Moonlit Forest progression. Players reach it by crossing a bubble bridge that forms after the Crystalith is defeated and then breaking through a crumbling door.
The bubble bridge is a series of floating golden bubbles that serve as stepping stones across a gap. These bubbles appear after the Crystalith boss is defeated, creating the path forward. Players need to jump between the bubbles to cross. The timing is forgiving, but falling means restarting the crossing from the near side.
Azure Bay contains a second Luminfrog encounter. This fight is mechanically identical to the first Luminfrog in Dreamfall Garden: the frog-like enemy attacks with water projectiles and takes approximately 5 slingshot hits to defeat. By this point in the Moonlit Forest, players should be comfortable with the Luminfrog's patterns from the earlier fight.
This encounter does not gate any major quest progression. It serves as a combat checkpoint that tests whether players have improved their skills since the Dreamfall Garden Luminfrog.
Gold Ore: higher-tier ore deposits found along the bay walls, used in advanced crafting and smelting
Iron Ore: continues to appear in this zone
Fluorite: for campsite repairs
Blue Hydrangea: a rare flower that grows in the damp environment near the waterfall
Moonflower: another rare flower found in the Moonlit Forest
A campsite can be repaired in Azure Bay for 5 Fluorite. This provides a respawn point for the deeper zones ahead, including Mural Valley and the Glintortle boss fight.
After clearing Azure Bay, the path continues to Mural Valley, home of the Glintortle boss. The Glintortle requires a Bow with Bomb Arrows, which represents a significant step up in combat requirements from the slingshot-based encounters in earlier zones.
Mine Gold Ore deposits thoroughly. Gold is valuable for crafting and is less common in earlier Moonlit Forest zones.
The second Luminfrog fight is easier than the first because you already know the patterns. Use it as practice for the tougher fights ahead.
Collect Blue Hydrangeas and Moonflowers. These are useful for cross-breeding flowers and as gifts for NPCs like Zephyria.
Repair the campsite before moving on to Mural Valley. The Glintortle boss ahead is one of the tougher fights in the forest.
