Kestar Bool

Quoted the narrative director's Impeding line exactly, dated the Caskadag note and fixed a hyphenation
Kestar Bool is the antagonist of Star Wars: Galactic Racer and the reigning Champion of The Galactic League. He is a Caskadag, a member of the rich and powerful Bool family, and the racer at the top of the circuit that every challenger is ultimately measured against. Official material calls him ruthless and a gifted racer, and describes him as being as talented as he is villainous. He is the pilot the protagonist Shade is recruited to bring down.

Official material identifies Kestar as a Caskadag. That naming came late in the run up to release rather than with his first appearance, and it is the only species detail attached to him. As of September 27, 2026, nothing further about Caskadags had been published for this game: no homeworld, no physiology, and no second Caskadag character.
He belongs to what official material calls the rich and powerful Bool family, and the game is explicit that the background shapes the man. Kestar is used to getting his own way. The family name carries enough weight on the circuit that the protagonist’s grudge is consistently described as being against the Bool family rather than against Kestar personally, and the physical banner of him that ships with the Collector’s Edition carries the Bool Family Sigil rather than a personal emblem. See Editions and Pre-Order Bonuses for that item.
The family's reach extends past the track. Shade's official profile says Shade grew up on Gathleon under the oppressive Bool Conglomerate, and Kestar's own profile calls the family tyrannical. One hands-on account goes further than any official source and reports that the family holds Shade's people in indentured servitude. That servitude detail comes from a single early preview rather than from official copy, so it is recorded here as reported rather than confirmed.
The game describes Kestar as being as talented as he is villainous. He dominates the League that Darius Pax founded, and he uses his position as Champion to threaten other pilots and to extend his already powerful reach further still. His grip on the circuit is part of why Darius Pax goes looking for an outsider to challenge him: Pax wants control of his league back, and Kestar will not give it up willingly.
Other official copy is blunter. It calls the League dominated by the ruthless Kestar Bool, a gifted racer with little respect for his fellow competitors or their pit droids, and says that while he is a talented racer he has been known to employ unscrupulous methods to secure victory. The contempt runs to the crews as well as the drivers, which is why the pit droids get a mention of their own in his introduction.
The character profile added to the game's official site in September 2026 adds a personal angle. It pictures Kestar with fans, racers and legends all cheering his name, and says he would not have it any other way. It calls him the proud, underhanded son of the tyrannical Bool family, willing to do whatever it takes to keep his place as Galactic League champion and to earn the respect he believes he deserves, from the public as well as from his iron-willed father. Other official copy describes him as Shade's main rival both on and off the track, a spoiled sportsman for whom the title is not enough: he believes he should be in control of the League itself.
Official material gives Kestar a motive rather than leaving him a plain obstacle. He is convinced that only he can bring about a golden age for the Galactic League, which recasts his grip on the circuit as something he believes the League is better off for. What that golden age would actually involve is not spelled out in any official material published ahead of the October 2026 release, and no source describes what he would change about the League if nobody stopped him.
Kestar and Shade are the two main characters of the campaign. Shade’s personal grudge against the Bool family makes the conflict more than a contest for a title; it is personal on Shade’s side, and Kestar’s standing as both champion and threat makes him the obstacle the whole story is built around. The game frames their rivalry as one that will define the course of the Galactic League. Many other pilots are chasing the top spot, but the campaign keeps its focus on the two of them. The wider story is covered on Story and Campaign.
Even as tours reset and runs begin again, the goal of taking down Kestar Bool persists across attempts, so he functions as the fixed target at the center of the runs-based campaign. For how that structure works, see Runs and Tours, and for the wider cast, see Characters. Players face him through the campaign, which sits alongside the other game modes.
Kestar's performance is split between two people. Mark Bridges, Design Director at Fuse Games and the person responsible for the second-to-second handling, racing, abilities, parts and upgrades, performed the motion capture for Kestar Bool, using a background in theatre to bring the antagonist to life during the game's mocap shoots. His voice is provided by Kris Laudrum, an English voice and performance capture actor.
Fuse Games' Music and Narrative Director, Nathaniel Daw, has said: "We knew from the first ‘Impeding!’ that Kestar Bool needed to be instantly established as the entitled Caskadag that he is." Daw describes a performance dripping with arrogance, with fear underneath it: someone terrified that he will not live up to his father's expectations. The rest of the cast is on Music and Voice Cast.
