Official Profile
The official character profile calls Pax a lifelong fan and true believer in the sport of racing, and says he was once a mechanic for the Hutts. What he wants most is the return of the racetrack's glorious thrills. He founded the Galactic League with that vision in mind, aiming to create a new golden age of galaxy-wide racing sanctioned and supported by the New Republic.
That aim is worth reading next to how the game describes the League as it stands: an unsanctioned racing circuit born in the lawless Outer Rim, where syndicates sponsor pilots. The sanctioned, New Republic-backed version is what Pax is working toward, not what the League is when Shade arrives. Kestar Bool, for his part, is convinced that only he can bring about a golden age for the League, which puts the founder and the champion on opposite sides of the same idea.
Official copy describes him as a brash Besalisk businessman and, in his own words, he "wanted racing back, the way it was!" Elsewhere he is called a racing enthusiast and league organizer who is in danger of losing his creation.
Role in the Story
Pax built the League, but Kestar Bool now dominates it and uses his position as champion to threaten other pilots. To claw back control, Pax turns to Shade, a pilot with a personal grudge against the Bool family, and backs Shade's challenge to the corrupt champion. Shade's own profile frames the League as a new start after years of hauling cargo with the mechanic Hibi. The full setup is on Story and Campaign.
Voice
Pax is voiced by Andrew James Spooner, who has more than 30 years of experience as a voice actor. Fuse Games' Music and Narrative Director, Nathaniel Daw, has said the team knew from the start that Pax needed to be a big personality, "a big voice for a big Besalisk!" Daw describes him as a perennial showman who is always drumming up support for his League, the product of years of dreaming and hustling, and credits Spooner with a performance that mixes gravitas and charisma with exuberant overconfidence. The rest of the cast is on Music and Voice Cast and Characters.
