Overview
Roco Kingdom: World features multiple currency and resource systems that fuel everything from daily activities to endgame spirit cultivation. Understanding what each currency does, where it comes from, and how to spend it efficiently is essential for making steady progress. This guide covers every major currency and resource in the game.
Primary Currencies
Three main currencies form the backbone of the game's economy. Each serves a distinct purpose and is earned through different activities.
Currency | Chinese Name | How to Earn | What It Buys |
|---|---|---|---|
Roco Shells (洛克贝) | 洛克贝 | PvP battles (1.2x bonus on weekends), selling crops from your home farm, completing activities and daily tasks | Advanced Gulu Balls (15,000 each), Capture Light Balls (80,000 each), items from the Traveling Merchant |
Roco Diamonds (洛克钻) | 洛克钻 | Real-money purchase (premium currency) | King Balls (240 each), Prism Balls (1,600 each), spirit box expansion (up to 70 slots) |
Wish Stars (许愿星) | 许愿星 | Capturing spirits, hatching eggs, farming, PvP wins, daily events | Season shop items, Cracked Mirrors (nature fix), Aptitude Keys (IV reroll), spirit box expansion (up to 40 slots) |
Roco Shells are the currency you interact with most on a daily basis. PvP battles are one of the fastest ways to earn them, and the 1.2x weekend bonus makes Saturday and Sunday the best days to grind shells through combat. Selling crops from your home farm provides a steady passive income as well.
Roco Diamonds are the premium currency and the only one that requires real money. They are primarily used for high-value convenience items like King Balls (which have a very high capture rate) and spirit box expansion beyond the free cap. Free-to-play players can progress without Diamonds, but they speed up certain grinds significantly.
Wish Stars are a season-based currency earned through normal gameplay activities. They reset or refresh each season, so spend them before the season ends. Wish Stars are particularly valuable for Cracked Mirrors (which let you fix a spirit's nature) and Aptitude Keys (which reroll IVs), both of which are critical for spirit cultivation.
Regional Currencies
In addition to the three primary currencies, certain regions in the game have their own local currencies. These can only be earned and spent within their respective regions.
Currency | Region | Use |
|---|---|---|
Unicorn Silver Coins (独角银币) | Wind Sleep Province | Purchase Aptitude Keys, Magic Dust, and Sage Crystals at the Annie Shop in Wind Sleep Province |
Kingdom Emblems (王国徽记) | Rockerian ruins | Purchase the same cultivation items (Aptitude Keys, Magic Dust, Sage Crystals) at the local Annie Shop in the Rockerian ruins area |
Regional currencies give players an additional avenue to acquire high-demand cultivation materials. If you are short on Wish Stars or other primary currencies, farming regional currencies in their respective areas is a solid alternative for obtaining Aptitude Keys and Magic Dust.
Key Cultivation Resources
The following resources are essential for training and upgrading your spirits. Most of these are gated behind daily or seasonal limits, so consistent play over time is the key to accumulating them.
Resource | Chinese Name | Use | How to Obtain |
|---|---|---|---|
Magic Dust (魔法粉尘) | 魔法粉尘 | Late-game stat modification, star upgrades for spirits | Annie Shops (regional currency), daily investigation, map exploration, Destiny Flower Seeds (300 per 2 weeks), Season Pass (360 to 1,440 per season) |
Soul Ring Marks (灵魂环印) | 灵魂环印 | Spirit star upgrades (required alongside Magic Dust) | Destiny Flower Seeds (24 per season), Starlight Duel (40 per season); approximately 64 total per season |
Aptitude Keys (适格之钥) | 适格之钥 | Modify IVs and talent values on spirits | Regional currency shops, Wish Star crafting |
Sage Crystals (贤者碎晶) | 贤者碎晶 | Advanced cultivation and upgrades | Regional shops, Season Pass rewards |
Coco Fruits (可可果) | 可可果 | Spirit leveling (experience items) | Ancient Coin exchange (120 per exchange), trading with other players |
Skill Stones (技能石) | 技能石 | Teach new moves to spirits | Daily tasks (Warrior Training Hall), boss drops, alchemy (1 Magic Stone + 3 ores = normal Skill Stone; 3 Magic Stones + 1 Spirit Crystal = rare Skill Stone) |
Worn Ancient Coins (破旧的古币) | 破旧的古币 | Exchange at Ancient Coin machines for various rewards | Beach Ruins collection; 11 machines scattered across the map |
Magic Dust is arguably the single most important cultivation resource in the game. It is needed for both personality changes (nature fixes) and star upgrades, both of which are essential for optimizing a spirit's performance. Because supply is limited on a daily and seasonal basis, careful budgeting is crucial.
Soul Ring Marks are even scarcer than Magic Dust. With only about 64 obtainable per season, players must prioritize which spirits receive star upgrades. Focus on spirits you plan to use in competitive PvP or challenging PvE content.
Prism Ball Economy
Prism Balls are one of the most sought-after items in the game, used to capture rare and legendary spirits. Understanding the free-to-play (F2P) acquisition rate helps you plan your spending across each season.
F2P Prism Ball Sources per Season
Source | Shards per Season | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Daily Stamina Exchange | 3,360 (60 shards/day) | Consistent daily income; never skip this |
Destiny Flower Seeds + Brave Medal | 4,800 | Requires active participation in events |
Starlight Duel | 1,600 | PvP seasonal reward track |
Season Pass (free tier) | 400 to 1,600 | Varies by season; complete pass milestones |
Free-to-play total per season: approximately 10,160 Prism Ball shards, which converts to about 6.35 Prism Balls.
Paid Prism Ball Sources
Spending Level | Approximate Balls per Season |
|---|---|
F2P only | ~6.35 balls |
Monthly card | ~11.6 balls |
Monthly card + battle pass | ~12.35 balls |
The monthly card provides the best value-for-money increase, nearly doubling your F2P output. The battle pass adds a smaller incremental boost on top of the monthly card. Players who want to maximize their Prism Ball income without heavy spending should prioritize the monthly card above all other purchases.
Farming Tips
Efficient resource farming is the difference between a well-optimized account and one that constantly falls behind. The following tips will help you get the most out of the game's economy.
Do not waste Magic Dust early. It is tempting to use Magic Dust on your first few spirits, but you will need large quantities later for personality changes and star upgrades on your endgame team. Save it until you are sure which spirits you want to invest in long term.
Destiny Flower Seeds are the highest-income permanent activity. They provide a reliable, recurring source of both Magic Dust and Prism Ball shards. Make them a top priority in your daily and weekly routine.
Grind PvP on weekends for the 1.2x Roco Shell bonus. The weekend multiplier is free and stacks with normal earnings. A focused weekend session can fund your Gulu Ball purchases for the entire week.
Explore every Ancient Coin machine location. There are 11 machines scattered across the Beach Ruins and wider map. Each one provides Worn Ancient Coins that can be exchanged for valuable rewards. Missing even one machine means leaving resources on the table.
Use your home farm daily. Crops sold to Uncle Sam generate a passive Roco Shell income that compounds over time. Even small daily harvests add up across a full season.
Budget your Wish Stars before spending. Wish Stars reset each season, so plan your purchases around the season shop rotation. Prioritize Cracked Mirrors and Aptitude Keys for spirit cultivation before buying cosmetic or convenience items.
