Loren City

Initial version (2026-07-22)
Loren City (洛伦城) is the first named settlement the studio has published for Rewinding Cadence, and it anchors the region roster on the official world page. It is described as the area with the highest concentration of spirit energy in Loren and as the setting's centre of cultural life, a place where solemn silver towers and the ruins above the cloudline record older griefs while merchant caravans and travellers carry on building something newer around them.
The city matters to play as well as to setting. It is where most populated-area systems are legible: NPC routines to observe across a loop, the Star-Wanted system reacting to how a player behaves in a crowd, and a set of districts each built around a different activity.
Five districts inside the city have been named and described. Each has a distinct purpose rather than being a cosmetic label on a map region.
District | Chinese | What It Is For |
|---|---|---|
Royal Academy | 皇家学会 | The city's scholarly institution, holding an archive described as vast and, pointedly, entirely free of dust. Two schools of thought are housed there, one that follows the stars and one that builds from the physical world, and the framing is that either route is a legitimate way of speaking with the world. |
Dusk Tavern | 黄昏小馆 | Tucked at the back of an alley and better known than its location suggests. The draw is information, described as being kept at the same temperature as the hearth, and an owner who remembers every visitor's order and their story. |
Kingdom Avenue | 王国大道 | The commercial thoroughfare: fountains, shop windows carrying new goods, and coffee. Presented as the point where the city's noise and its warmth meet. |
Feifeisai Travellers' Camp | 飞飞赛的旅人营地 | A camp for people whose migration has become the destination, blessed by the wind's principal spirit. Travellers weave what they have seen into windmills strung above the tents. Framed as having no endpoint, only the next leg. |
Undercity Fighting Ring | 城下街:拳场 | The district under the city, and by local reckoning the one you have to visit to understand the place. Foreign spirit implements turn up in its markets, and the ring itself is open to anyone: win cleanly or lose cleanly. Closed-beta players could also bet on fights between NPCs rather than entering the ring themselves. |
Thornspire Highlands (棘刺高地) sits outside the city and is the one other named region published so far. The description is a warning rather than a travelogue: sweet voices carry down from it, the view grows more inviting the closer a traveller gets, and the smiles waiting there are a hunter's camouflage rather than a welcome. It reads as an area built to punish players who follow the most attractive path, which fits the wider design of letting a cycle be spent learning a lesson that only pays off on the next run.
The roster above is the whole of the official location list, and it should not be read as the whole map.
No world map, no region count, and no travel times between regions have been published.
District boundaries, interior layouts, and which districts are reachable in the opening hours are unstated.
Community-made maps circulating for this game are explicitly labelled by their own authors as concept placeholders, and at least one invents an area name. They are not used here.
Named regions that appeared in earlier coverage without an official description are deliberately left out until the studio names them itself.
This page will grow as the studio publishes more of the world section. Until then it is a short, verified list rather than a speculative gazetteer. See exploration for how movement and world reaction work across these spaces, and traversal for the movement toolkit itself.
