Game Freak and The Pokemon Company announced a list of known issues that will be addressed in an upcoming patch. No release date has been confirmed, but the fix list was published on the official Pokemon support site on March 12, 2026.
Area | Request | Bug Description |
|---|---|---|
"Let's Build a Home!" | Squirtle moves up a tree and cannot be spoken to, preventing the request from progressing. | |
"Find a Pokemon Center!" | Destroying cracked blocks on the bridge before Professor Tangrowth crosses it can prevent progression. A second issue exists where specific steps prevent the bridge repair event from triggering. | |
Rotom encounter | The DJ Rotom encounter event may fail to occur under certain conditions. | |
"Let's Clean Up the Roads!" | This request can become difficult to progress under certain circumstances. |
Pokedex error: Spinarak's type is displayed incorrectly in the Pokedex.
Area | Request | Improvement |
|---|---|---|
"Break the Rocks with a Rock Smasher!" | Improved clarity when placing blocks near the Crab Growl location. | |
"Take the Professor with You!" | Improved guidance for block placement near Snorlax. |
Until the patch is released, players who encounter these issues can try the following workarounds:
Squirtle tree bug: Try leaving the area and returning later. Some players report Squirtle moves back to the ground after a day cycle.
Bridge bug: Avoid breaking cracked blocks on bridges before NPCs have crossed them. If already triggered, try rebuilding the blocks.
Save frequently: Save before starting any Important Request to allow reverting if a progression bug occurs.
As of March 2026, no DLC has been announced for Pokemon Pokopia. The Pokemon Company has not confirmed any planned downloadable content expansions. The game does receive limited-time events (such as the Hoppip cotton spore event) delivered via online updates, but these are free content additions rather than paid DLC.
