Treasure-Hunting Set is the event-exclusive Dark-type habitat in Pokemon Pokopia, introduced during the Sableye's Gem Hunt event (April 29 - May 14, 2026). It is the only habitat configuration that attracts Sableye as a permanent resident, making it required for any player who wants to add Sableye to their settlement.
In-game description: "A map and compass are essential treasure-hunting tools. Time to set off in search of jewels"
Property | Value |
|---|---|
Habitat type | Dark |
Pokemon attracted | Sableye (event-exclusive) |
Sableye rarity | Common during event window |
Layout | All three required items in at least a 2x2 grid |
Availability | April 29 - May 14, 2026 (assignment available after event ends) |

The Treasure-Hunting Set requires three event-exclusive items, all purchased with Red Crystal Fragments from the Sableye event shop:
Item | Cost | Quantity |
|---|---|---|
Adventure Kit | 10 fragments | 1 |
Map and Compass | 5 fragments | 1 |
Pile of Treasure | 5 fragments | 1 |
Total cost per habitat: 20 Red Crystal Fragments. With unlimited shop stock, players can build as many habitats as they have fragments for. One habitat is enough to attract Sableye, but additional habitats can be useful as themed builds.
Place all three components together in at least a 2x2 grid pattern. The exact placement of each item within the 2x2 area is flexible; the habitat recognizes the configuration as long as all three items are within the same connected zone.
Important: during the event window, Sableye lives at the shop counter inside the Pokemon Center as the event vendor. You cannot assign Sableye to a built Treasure-Hunting Set habitat until the event ends on May 14, 2026 at 4:59 AM. Once the shop closes, Sableye becomes available to befriend and assign to a constructed Treasure-Hunting Set.
Sableye is a Dark/Ghost-type with a Search specialty. To maximize Sableye's comfort level once it moves in:
Habitat type: Dark (already met by the Treasure-Hunting Set classification)
Sableye likes: Spooky stuff, Shiny stuff, Round stuff, Gems, Dark places
Suggested furniture: Jewel Wall Decoration pieces, additional Pile of Treasure copies, dark-themed wall colors
Step-by-step:
Earn at least 20 Red Crystal Fragments by smashing Red Crystal Clusters in Dream Island caves with Rock Smash.
Visit any rebuilt Pokemon Center and talk to Sableye at the shop counter.
Buy 1 Adventure Kit (10 fragments), 1 Map and Compass (5 fragments), and 1 Pile of Treasure (5 fragments).
Place all three items in your settlement in a 2x2 area. Any vacant Dark-type space works.
Wait for the event to end on May 14, 2026 at 4:59 AM. Sableye is then free to be befriended and assigned to your habitat.
Build the habitat before the event ends so it is ready to receive Sableye the moment the shop closes. Setting it up after the event means a delay in Sableye joining your town.
If you have extra fragments, buy a second set of items so you can build a backup Treasure-Hunting Set in another region. Sableye will only inhabit one at a time, but the spare habitat looks great as a thematic build.
Photograph the three items before May 14, 2026 to enable 3D printing replacements via Rare Pokemetal after the event closes.
Pair the habitat with a Tent Kit so Sableye has both a habitat and a private house when it moves in.
