Overview

Demolishing houses in Pokemon Pokopia is necessary when clearing space for new builds, reorganizing your town, or removing unwanted structures. There are two demolition methods depending on how the house was originally built. Fixed houses built with building kits require a Demolition Kit, while block-built structures can be destroyed using Pokemon moves.

Method 1: Demolition Kit

Purchase a Demolition Kit from the shop to remove fixed or pre-existing houses. This method only works on structures that were built using a building kit. It cannot be used on player-built block structures.

Requirements Before Demolishing

Before using a Demolition Kit, you must remove everything inside the house. This includes all furniture and all resident Pokemon. The kit will not work if the house still has occupants or furnishings inside. Move Pokemon to other habitats and store furniture before starting.

Method 2: Pokemon Moves

Houses built using blocks can be demolished with the Rock Smash or Rollout moves. Set the desired move as your active move (visible in the bottom-right area of the screen) and use it directly on the block structure.

This method only works on houses constructed from blocks. It will not affect fixed structures built with building kits. Rock Smash is unlocked by befriending Hitmonchan, and Rollout is learned through Graveler's Request.

Important Warning

Block-built houses do not require emptying before using move-based demolition. However, any Pokemon inside will feel sad because they are forcefully evicted. If possible, relocate resident Pokemon to other habitats before demolishing their home to avoid this.
