Overview

Golbat is a Poison/Flying-type Pokemon in Pokemon Pokopia, classified as the Bat Pokemon (Dex #082). Golbat is a nocturnal Pokemon that only appears at night, and unlike its pre-evolution Zubat, it spawns as a Rare visitor rather than a Common one. Golbat is found in the Tree-Shaded Yellow Tall Grass habitat and carries the Search specialty, helping players find buried items with the Dowsing Machine. Golbat is the middle stage between Zubat and Crobat in the main series evolutionary line.

Golbat appears as a Rare visitor at this habitat, and only during the night. Because of its Rare rarity, Golbat may take several night cycles to appear. Building multiple Tree-Shaded Yellow Tall Grass habitats increases your chances.

Location

Golbat appears in areas where the Tree-Shaded Yellow Tall Grass habitat can be built. The yellow tall grass required for this habitat is found in Bleak Beach and other regions. Since Golbat only appears at night and is a Rare spawn, players should plan their habitat visits around the nighttime schedule.

How to Befriend

Build the Tree-Shaded Yellow Tall Grass habitat by placing four patches of yellow tall grass around a large tree. Wait until nighttime, and Golbat may appear as a Rare visitor. Walk up and interact with Golbat to befriend it. If Zubat appears instead, wait for it to leave or build additional habitats to improve your odds.

Specialty: Search

Golbat has the Search specialty. If you hold the Dowsing Machine and press the A button while walking with a Pokemon that has the Search specialty, you will start looking for buried items. Golbat functions identically to Zubat for Search purposes. The choice between them is purely cosmetic and based on which you prefer to have as a companion.

Tips

• Golbat is a Rare night-only spawn. Build multiple Tree-Shaded Yellow Tall Grass habitats to increase the chance of it appearing.

• If you only need the Search specialty, Zubat is far easier to find at the same habitat as a Common spawn.

• Furnish Golbat's habitat area with dark and spooky items to increase its Comfort Level.

• Consider upgrading to Crobat if you want a bat Pokemon with the additional Chop specialty.
