Gimmighoul (Chest Form) is a Ghost-type Pokemon found in the Museum in Rocky Ridges in Pokemon Pokopia. It is Pokedex #205 and is the only Pokemon with the Collect specialty (alongside its evolved form Gholdengo at #206). Gimmighoul sits inside a treasure chest within the Museum, serving as both curator and trader. It accepts Rainbow Feathers (from Ho-Oh), Silver Feathers (from Lugia), and appraised Lost Relics in exchange for exclusive Pop Art furniture items that cannot be obtained any other way.
Gimmighoul is found in the Museum inside Rocky Ridges, which is based on the ruins of Pewter City and Mt. Moon. The Museum (thematically the Pewter City Museum of Science) is buried deep in the mountain's mines.

To find the Museum:
From the Pokemon Center in Rocky Ridges, head into the caves to the right
Follow the old cart/train tracks through the mines
Continue through the lava area (use Water Gun to cross lava obstacles if needed)
The Museum is in the northern part of Rocky Ridges, near where DJ Rotom is found
The Museum is hidden away and easy to miss. Check greyed-out areas on the Pokedex map to locate it. Professor Tangrowth introduces you to Gimmighoul when you first arrive.
Gimmighoul appears in its Chest Form: a small Ghost-type Pokemon hiding inside a sturdy old treasure chest. Only its glowing eyes peek out from the chest's opening. The Pokopia Pokedex describes it as: "It lives inside an old treasure chest. Sometimes it gets left in shop corners since no one realizes it's actually a Pokemon."

The Collect specialty is unique to Gimmighoul and its evolved form Gholdengo (#206). It allows Gimmighoul to trade rare items for exclusive furniture. Gimmighoul accepts three types of items:
Item Accepted | How to Obtain | Reward |
|---|---|---|
Rainbow Feather | Dropped by Ho-Oh (flies overhead in sunny weather). Use Water Gun to cool the flame before picking up. | Random Pop Art furniture (table, chair, lamp, bed, sofa) |
Silver Feather | Dropped by Lugia (flies overhead in rainy/cloudy weather). Use Cut to clear the wind column before picking up. | Random Pop Art furniture (table, chair, lamp, bed, sofa) |
Appraised Lost Relic | Found in glowing blocks via Rock Smash. Must be appraised by Professor Tangrowth first. | Various furniture items |
Trades are one item per exchange. The furniture reward from feather and wing trades is random from the Pop Art collection. Gimmighoul's first interaction specifically requests a Rainbow Feather as the initial unlock trade.
The Pop Art series is a collection of exclusive furniture only obtainable through Gimmighoul trades (or very rarely in the shop rotation). Confirmed pieces include:
Pop Art Table
Pop Art Sofa
Pop Art Chair
Pop Art Bed
Pop Art Lamp
Gimmighoul can be befriended and moved to any region by building the Mini Museum habitat (#129 in the Habitat Dex):

Component | Quantity |
|---|---|
Post (any type) | 3 |
Pedestal / Exhibition Stand | 1 |
Lost Relic (Large, appraised) | 1 |
The Mini Museum can be built in any of the five regions. It spawns Gimmighoul (Common rarity) and Arcanine (Rare rarity) at all times of day and in all weather conditions. Building this habitat in a convenient location lets you trade with Gimmighoul without traveling back to the Rocky Ridges Museum.
The Museum where Gimmighoul resides also serves as the fossil restoration location. Pre-placed Pedestals (Exhibition Stands) in the Museum are used to assemble 22 fossil pieces into 9 fossil display habitats (Habitat Dex #193-#201). The fossil assembly system is separate from Gimmighoul's trading function. Gimmighoul handles the Collect/trade side, while the Pedestals handle fossil displays.
Gimmighoul's evolved form Gholdengo (#206) also has the Collect specialty. Since Pokopia has no evolution mechanic, Gholdengo is befriended separately through its own habitat, the Absolute Luxury habitat. Both Pokemon can trade items for furniture.
Gimmighoul responds positively to the following when decorating its habitat and giving gifts:
Spooky stuff
Metal stuff
Strange stuff
Shiny stuff
Complicated stuff
Bring a Rainbow Feather on your first visit to the Museum. Gimmighoul's initial trade requires one.
Collect Rainbow Feathers and Silver Feathers whenever Ho-Oh or Lugia fly overhead. Use Water Gun or Cut to grab the feathers before they disappear.
Feed Mosslax to increase the chance of Ho-Oh and Lugia appearing overhead.
Build a Mini Museum habitat near your main settlement so you can trade with Gimmighoul without traveling to Rocky Ridges each time.
Have Professor Tangrowth appraise your Lost Relics before bringing them to Gimmighoul. Unappraised relics cannot be traded.
Pop Art furniture trades are random. You may receive duplicates before completing the full set. Keep trading.
The Collect specialty also causes Gimmighoul to collect coins and trinkets near its habitat, which can be sold for Life Coins at the PC Shop.
