Remove irrelevant image: Settlement overview
This page covers every Generation 7 (Alola, National Dex #722 through #809) Pokemon available in Pokemon Pokopia. Out of the 88 Pokemon introduced in Pokemon Sun and Moon and Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, seven are present in Pokopia. These seven Pokemon account for 9 total habitat appearances across the game, since some appear in more than one habitat.
All habitat names, habitat numbers, and spawn details shown below come directly from the verified Habitat Dex. Each Pokemon's type(s) match the mainline games. Rarity indicates how likely the Pokemon is to appear once its habitat is built: Common spawns appear consistently, Rare spawns may take multiple visits, and Very Rare spawns often require patience and repeated checks.
Generation 7 Pokemon in Pokopia fall into two evolution families and one standalone Pokemon. The Rowlet line provides the Grow and Chop specialties, the Grubbin line provides Generate and Chop, and Mimikyu is the only Gen 7 Pokemon with the Trade specialty.
The table below shows all 9 habitat appearances for Generation 7 Pokemon. A Pokemon may appear in more than one habitat. The Location column indicates where the Pokemon actually spawns within the habitat. Some Pokemon are available in all regions, while others are restricted to specific areas.

The Rowlet line is the Grass-type starter family from the Alola region. In Pokopia, all three members share the Dark ideal habitat preference, meaning they are most comfortable when surrounded by spooky or dimly lit furnishings.
Rowlet is a Grass/Flying-type Pokemon classified as the Grass Quill Pokemon. It has the Grow specialty, which lets it speed up the growth of flowers, trees, plants, and crops nearby. Rowlet appears in the Fresh Veggie Field (#015) habitat as a Common spawn, but only in Palette Town and Cloud Island. To build this habitat, plant eight vegetables. Rowlet appears during morning, day, and evening under sunny, cloudy, or rainy conditions. It does not appear at night.
Rowlet enjoys nature, wooden objects, gentle breezes, containers, spinning items, and dry flavors.
Dartrix is the Grass/Flying-type Blade Quill Pokemon and the middle stage of the Rowlet line. It has two specialties: Grow and Chop. The Chop specialty lets Dartrix process small logs into Lumber, making it useful for construction projects. Dartrix appears as a Common spawn in the Pointy Tree-Shaded Rocky Tall Grass (#100) habitat, which requires a pointy tree, four red tall grass patches, and a large boulder. Unlike Rowlet, Dartrix is available in all regions and appears at all times of day in any weather.
Dartrix prefers nature, wooden objects, breezes, slender items, cleanliness, and sour flavors.
Decidueye is the fully evolved form of Rowlet, a Grass/Ghost-type classified as the Arrow Quill Pokemon. It stands at 5'03" and shares Dartrix's Grow and Chop specialties. Decidueye appears in two habitats. In the Pointy Tree-Shaded Rocky Tall Grass (#100) it is a Very Rare spawn, meaning players may need to check the habitat many times before it shows up. In the Modern Living (#136) habitat, which requires an industrial bed, industrial desk, and industrial chair, Decidueye is a Rare spawn. Both habitats are available in all regions.
Decidueye favors nature, spooky elements, wooden items, breezes, written materials (letters and words), and dry flavors.
The Grubbin line is a Bug/Electric family originally from the Alola region. While Grubbin itself is pure Bug-type, its evolutions gain the Electric type. The line's ideal habitat preference shifts from Bright throughout all stages, so placing these Pokemon near well-lit furnishings and electronics will keep them comfortable.
Grubbin is a pure Bug-type Larva Pokemon with the Chop specialty, letting it process small logs into Lumber. Grubbin is one of the most accessible Gen 7 Pokemon, appearing as a Common spawn in two different habitats: the Yellow Tall Grass (#050) and the Vending Machine Break Area (#083). Both habitats can be built in all regions, and Grubbin appears at all times of day under any weather.
The Yellow Tall Grass habitat requires four yellow tall grass items, while the Vending Machine Break Area needs one vending machine and one wide seat.
Grubbin enjoys nature, electronics, watching activities, soil, containers, and dry flavors.
Charjabug is a Bug/Electric-type Battery Pokemon with two specialties: Generate and Chop. The Generate specialty is particularly valuable because it lets Charjabug power nearby machines during its free time, making it useful for automating your island. Charjabug appears as a Rare spawn in the Vending Machine Break Area (#083) habitat. It appears in all regions at any time and in any weather.
Charjabug likes nature, electronics, watching activities, glass items, blocky structures, and bitter flavors.
Vikavolt is a Bug/Electric-type Stag Beetle Pokemon and the final evolution of Grubbin. Standing at 4'11" and weighing 99.2 lbs, it is the largest Gen 7 Pokemon in Pokopia. Like Charjabug, Vikavolt has the Generate and Chop specialties. Vikavolt is a Rare spawn in the Tree-Shaded Flower Bed (#009) habitat, but it only appears when this habitat is built in Palette Town or on Cloud Island. Building a Tree-Shaded Flower Bed in other regions will not attract Vikavolt. The habitat requires one berry tree (any type) and four wildflower patches.
Vikavolt enjoys nature, electronics, exercise, glass items, pleasant breezes, and dry flavors.
Mimikyu is a Ghost/Fairy-type Disguise Pokemon and the only standalone Gen 7 Pokemon in Pokopia (it does not belong to an evolution line). It is famous for wearing a tattered cloth shaped like Pikachu in an attempt to make friends, since its true form is said to terrify anyone who sees it.
Mimikyu has the Trade specialty, which means it can run trades at the Pokemon Center and Poke Mart if there is a register available. This makes Mimikyu one of the few Pokemon that directly helps with the game's commerce system.
Mimikyu appears as a Common spawn in the Pikachu Space (#094) habitat, which is built by placing a Pikachu Sofa and a Pikachu Doll next to each other. The Pikachu Doll is found inside an abandoned house in the southern part of Bleak Beach (accessible by transforming into Lapras to cross the water). The Pikachu Sofa is located inside the ruins of the S.S. Anne, also in Bleak Beach. Once you place both items together, Mimikyu will appear shortly after.
Mimikyu's ideal habitat type is Dark. It prefers spooky stuff, cute stuff, electronics, fabric, group activities, and bitter flavors. The Pikachu Space habitat can be built in all regions.
Generation 7 Pokemon cover four of the game's specialties. The table below summarizes which specialties each Pokemon provides.
Pokemon | Specialty | What It Does |
|---|---|---|
Chop | Processes small logs into Lumber | |
Generate, Chop | Powers nearby machines; processes logs into Lumber | |
Generate, Chop | Powers nearby machines; processes logs into Lumber | |
Trade | Runs trades at Pokemon Center and Poke Mart registers | |
Grow | Speeds up growth of flowers, trees, plants, and crops | |
Grow, Chop | Speeds up plant growth; processes logs into Lumber | |
Grow, Chop | Speeds up plant growth; processes logs into Lumber |
Each Pokemon has an ideal habitat type that determines how comfortable it feels in your setup. Matching the ideal habitat boosts a Pokemon's mood. Generation 7 Pokemon only have two ideal habitat types:
Ideal Habitat | Pokemon |
|---|---|
Dark | |
Bright |
This split mirrors the thematic contrast between the two evolution lines. The Rowlet family and Mimikyu gravitate toward darkness and spooky atmospheres, while the Grubbin family prefers brightness and electronics. Decorating accordingly will help keep these Pokemon happy.
Most Gen 7 Pokemon appear in all regions when their habitat is built. However, two Pokemon have location-specific restrictions:
Rowlet only appears in the Fresh Veggie Field habitat when built in Palette Town or on Cloud Island. Building this habitat in other regions will not attract Rowlet.
Vikavolt only appears in the Tree-Shaded Flower Bed habitat when built in Palette Town or on Cloud Island. Other regions will not produce Vikavolt spawns.
All other Gen 7 Pokemon (Grubbin, Charjabug, Mimikyu, Dartrix, and Decidueye) can be found anywhere their respective habitats are placed.
Check the Habitat Dex in your Pokedex menu for each Pokemon's specific habitat requirements. Build the required items near each other and watch for the sparkle confirmation.
If you want the full Grubbin evolution line, build the Vending Machine Break Area (#083) first. Both Grubbin (Common) and Charjabug (Rare) appear there. Then build the Tree-Shaded Flower Bed (#009) in Palette Town to attract Vikavolt.
For the Rowlet line, start with the Fresh Veggie Field (#015) in Palette Town to get Rowlet. Then build the Pointy Tree-Shaded Rocky Tall Grass (#100) anywhere to find Dartrix and, eventually, the Very Rare Decidueye.
Decidueye is the hardest Gen 7 Pokemon to find due to its Very Rare rarity in habitat #100. The Modern Living (#136) habitat gives you a second chance at a Rare rarity, so consider building both habitats.
Mimikyu requires the Pikachu Space (#094) habitat. You need to find the Pikachu Sofa in the S.S. Anne ruins and the Pikachu Doll in an abandoned house, both located in Bleak Beach. Use the Lapras transformation to reach both items across the water.
Since Grubbin, Charjabug, and Vikavolt all prefer Bright ideal habitats, group their habitats near bright furniture and electronics to maximize comfort.
Rowlet, Dartrix, Decidueye, and Mimikyu all prefer Dark ideal habitats. Spooky decorations, dim lighting, and wooden items will keep them happy.
Some Pokemon appear in multiple habitats, giving you more than one way to attract them. Grubbin has two habitat options, and Decidueye has two as well.
