Chop is a Pokemon Specialty in Pokemon Pokopia. Pokemon with the Chop specialty process Small Logs and other woody materials into Lumber, planks, and refined wood products used for building kits, furniture crafting, and habitat construction. Chop is one of the earliest specialties players reliably encounter and is central to nearly every building project on the island.

Chop is one of the first specialties players reliably encounter, typically through Axew or Timburr in Rocky Ridges. The recommended unlock route:
Progress the main story past the initial Palette Town arc.
Travel to Rocky Ridges and befriend either Axew (in the rocky outcrop habitat) or Timburr (in the construction-themed habitat).
With at least one Chop Pokemon befriended, the sawmill and basic lumber recipes unlock at Tinkmaster's crafting menu.
