Two Celestials

Two Celestials is the first named Oni Armament revealed for Onimusha: Way of the Sword. Hands-on previews from the gamescom 2025 demo identified it as a pair of twin daggers that Musashi can summon through the Oni Gauntlet.

Activation

Like all Oni Armaments, Two Celestials is powered by the Oni Power Gauge, which fills as Musashi collects blue souls from defeated enemies. With the gauge ready, a single input (R1 on PlayStation hardware, per hands-on coverage) swaps Musashi into the daggers' moveset.

Role in Combat

Two Celestials plays out as a short, powerful flurry of dagger strikes. Game Informer's preview describes it as capable of chewing through dense enemy groups and stripping large chunks from a boss health bar in a single activation. Because the activation burns a chunk of the blue-soul reserve, it is a limited burst option rather than a default attack.

Tied to Musashi's Lore

Capcom has framed Two Celestials as a weapon specifically tied to Musashi's own story rather than a generic upgrade slot. That matches the broader design pattern of each Oni Armament being presented as a story artefact in its own right, something the Oni Gauntlet produces for reasons the game reveals over the course of the narrative rather than simply unlocking at a vendor.
