Overview
Fogden Game is the main story episode added in Version 1.3 "Rising from the Moonlit Fog", which went live on August 19, 2026 after a maintenance window running 06:00 to 11:00 (UTC+8). It became available immediately once the update finished.
The episode brings the Scarlet Letter storyline to a head. The Fogden itself is a location anomaly serving as The Scarlet Letter's den, and the Bureau of Anomaly Control moves against it directly, working toward a final confrontation with the organization's leader, Madam T. It sits within the wider Main Story running across the Warren Continent.
Official Synopsis
"What is The Scarlet Letter plotting this time? A game?"
"Those left off the guest list have formed an alliance: to save, to judge, to avenge."
"This time, can they finally bring Madam T down for good?"
The framing matters for what the episode is: the antagonists set the terms, and the cast that moves against them is assembled from characters who were deliberately excluded. The "game" of the title is the structure the Appraiser has to work inside once they are in the Fogden.
Unlock Requirements
Detail | Information |
|---|---|
Episode | Fogden Game |
Type | Main story episode |
Added in | Version 1.3 "Rising from the Moonlit Fog" |
Available | After the Version 1.3 update, August 19, 2026 |
Prerequisite | Complete the main story episode "Fighting with a Dragon" |
Cost | None. Main story episodes do not consume stamina to enter. |
The prerequisite is the only gate confirmed in the patch notes. There is no separate Hunter Level or Appraisal requirement listed, so any account that has cleared the earlier episode can start it as soon as the update is installed.
Placement in the Story
Fogden Game does not continue forward from the previous episode. It moves backward: the preceding episode, "Fighting with a Dragon", released in Version 1.2 and ran ahead of the timeline, and Fogden Game fills in the stretch it skipped over. In practice this means the player clears the later events first and then plays the sequence that leads into them.
Because of that structure the numbering reads out of order in the story menu, with Fogden Game slotting behind the episode that unlocks it. The Version 1.3 material picks up after the Appraiser escaped the Corridor of Echoes, which is also where the intel that locates the Fogden comes from.
Before this episode, The Scarlet Letter had seized anomalies tied to the past, the present, and the future. What the organization intended to do with them is the question Fogden Game answers.
The Fogden
The Fogden is a location anomaly rather than an ordinary district, and it functions as The Scarlet Letter's hunting ground. The Bureau tracks it down using information supplied by Thyme, the Creator of the Corridor of Echoes, who passes it to the Bureau's Director.
Inside, the rules of "the Game" apply. Who the Appraiser faces, what is found there, and how anyone gets back out are all presented as unknowns going in, which is the point: the space is built by the antagonists and the Appraiser enters on their terms. See Anomaly Classifications for how location anomalies differ from the standard Anomaly Enemies encountered in the open world.
The Scarlet Letter's key members take up positions across the Fogden, each waiting at a different point along the route. Expect sustained waves of enemies between those encounters rather than a single set-piece fight, with Madam T as the final opponent at the end of the chain.
Key Characters
The episode pulls together characters from several earlier threads, including one making a first main story appearance.
Character | Role in the Episode |
|---|---|
Enters the fight directly and faces Madam T head-on, her largest moment in the story so far. | |
Left without a word ahead of the operation, then turns up inside the Fogden. | |
Makes his way into the Fogden alongside Hotori. | |
ETD-6 member supporting the operation, having previously appeared alongside the Appraiser. | |
ETD-6 member appearing in the main story for the first time, joining the operation as the analytical counterpart to Linko. | |
Thyme | Creator of the Corridor of Echoes. Supplies the intel that leads the Bureau to the den, and appears in a supporting role. |
Madam T | Leader of The Scarlet Letter and the final opponent of the episode. |
Reaching Madam T means clearing her key members first, so the character encounters double as the episode's progression structure rather than sitting apart from it as cutscenes.
Released Alongside
Fogden Game shipped as part of a larger Version 1.3 package. The other headline additions are worth knowing about, since several unlock in the same session.

Tips
Clear the prerequisite episode first. Fogden Game will not appear in the story menu until "Fighting with a Dragon" is complete, and there is no way to skip ahead to it.
Bring a team built for sustained fights rather than single-target burst. The route is structured around repeated enemy waves between the named encounters.
Expect the episode to run long. It closes a multi-chapter thread, so budget a longer session than a standard side quest under the Main Story banner.
Play it before chasing the Version 1.3 banners if you are short on time. The story rewards feed back into Annulith reserves that can then go toward the limited boards.
