Business Management

Expanded with confirmed business types, City Tycoon integration, and Fons economy
Business Management is one of the core systems within City Tycoon, the overarching city management feature in Neverness to Everness. Through this system, players can run their own stores, manage inventory, set prices, and conduct promotions to earn Fons (the city currency). Business Management becomes available as you level up your City Tycoon rank by completing commissions and acquiring resources.
City Tycoon is a layered progression system that grants access to different features at specific milestones. As your City Tycoon level rises, you unlock a range of systems beyond businesses:
Feature | Description |
|---|---|
Garage | Access to purchasing and customizing vehicles |
Property Manager | Buy, design, and decorate apartments, houses, and mansions through the housing system |
Hunter Exchange | Trade combat-related items and materials |
Business Management | Run stores, set prices, manage inventory, and earn Fons |
Leveling City Tycoon requires completing commissions and gathering resources. Reaching Level 18 also unlocks Chiz, an S-Class Cosmos Esper associated with the Pink Paws Bank.
Players can operate several types of businesses. The coffee shop is one of the first available, where you work part-time shifts preparing drinks for customers. The restaurant follows a similar structure but involves more complex operations. In both cases, you use Fons to purchase ingredients, then serve customers to earn revenue.
Store management gives you direct control over several aspects of the operation. You decide which items to stock, what prices to charge, and when to run promotional events. Setting prices too high drives customers away, while pricing too low cuts into your margins. Finding the right balance is part of the ongoing challenge.
Community feedback from beta testing noted that the business tycoon section could benefit from graphs to track revenue over time. Whether future updates add detailed analytics remains to be seen, but the current system provides enough feedback through sales results to guide your decisions.
Fons serve as the primary currency for all City Tycoon activities. You earn them through business operations, part-time jobs, and various city activities. Spending Fons on ingredients and supplies is necessary to keep your businesses running, creating a cycle where revenue needs to outpace expenses for meaningful profit.
Skia's Life Skill, Middle Manager, directly benefits restaurant operations. It boosts customer patience (giving them more time before they leave), increases dish prices for higher revenue per sale, and enhances the appeal of Savory-tagged dishes. Assigning Skia to your restaurant crew makes a noticeable difference in daily earnings.
While not strictly part of business management, the housing system overlaps through the Property Manager unlocked via City Tycoon. Players can purchase apartments, houses, and mansions, then design and decorate them. Properties serve as personal spaces where bonded characters can live with you through the companion system.
Reinvest Fons into ingredient stocks before running out. Downtime without supplies means lost customers and lost revenue.
Check which characters have life skills that boost business operations. Skia's Middle Manager skill is one of the strongest for restaurant owners.
Promotions attract more customers but reduce per-item profit. Use them strategically to clear excess inventory or during slow periods.
Balance your time between business management and other City Tycoon features. Unlocking the garage and property manager expands your options significantly.
