Beetle Coins
Beetle Coins are the general-purpose free currency in Neverness to Everness. They function as the game's equivalent of gold or mora, used for everyday transactions at shops and vendors throughout Hethereau. Players accumulate Beetle Coins through regular gameplay activities including quest completion, combat, and various side activities.
Beetle Coins circulate in large quantities. Beta testers reported spending tens of thousands on activities like claw machines alone, indicating the economy is designed around high-volume spending. The currency is used for purchasing consumables, materials, furniture, and other general goods from the city's many shops and vendors.
Pre-registration reward: 30,000 Beetle Coins were awarded at the 15 million pre-registration milestone.
Fabricated Dice
Fabricated Dice are the pull currency for the Standard (Permanent) Banner in the Scarborough Fair gacha system. Each Fabricated Die equals one roll on the Standard Banner board. The Standard Banner contains the full pool of standard S-Class and A-Class characters and does not rotate.
Players earn Fabricated Dice through daily activities, achievements, and rewards from various gameplay systems. Unlike Solid Dice, Fabricated Dice cannot be used on Limited Banners. They are the primary free-to-play path for expanding your character roster over time.
A notable feature of the Standard Banner is the S-Rank Selector: after 50 pulls, players receive a selector that lets them choose one of six available standard S-Class characters for free. The first 10 pulls on the Standard Banner also receive a 20% discount.
Pre-registration rewards: 5 Fabricated Dice at the 25 million milestone, plus 15 more at the 35 million milestone (20 total).
Solid Dice
Solid Dice are the pull currency for the Limited (time-limited) Banner. Each Solid Die equals one roll on the Limited Banner board, which features a rotating limited-time S-Class character. Solid Dice can be obtained through events, quests, and by converting Annulith (the premium currency).
The Limited Banner is where most players target their spending, as it features new characters on a time-limited basis. Crucially, NTE's Limited Banner has no 50/50 system: when you hit pity, the featured character is guaranteed with no coin flip against standard characters.
Annulith
Annulith is the premium currency purchasable with real money through top-up packages. It serves as the universal premium currency that can be converted into Solid Dice for Limited Banner pulls or spent in the premium shop. Top-up packages range from approximately $0.93 to $80.60 USD.
Annulith can also be obtained in smaller amounts through events and special activities, though the primary acquisition method is real-money purchase. For free-to-play players, the Fabricated Dice and event-earned Solid Dice are the main gacha currencies.
Fon
Fon is the primary endgame currency used for purchasing upgrade materials and progression resources. It is earned through endgame activities, with the main sources being:
Circle Bounty: An endgame activity involving tracking and eliminating targets connected to The Circle organization
Riftcrystal Mining Permits: A resource gathering activity that rewards Fon alongside other materials
Anomaly Commissions: Repeatable endgame combat missions
Various other endgame activities and weekly resets
During beta testing, players provided feedback that Fon rewards from Circle Bounty and Riftcrystal Mining Permits were too low relative to the costs of endgame upgrades. The developers acknowledged this in the launch roadmap and confirmed that Fon earn rates will be improved for the April 29, 2026 launch.
Fon is also the in-world currency used within the City Tycoon system for purchasing properties, investing in businesses, buying vehicles, and acquiring furniture.
Tri-Key
Tri-Key is a gameplay currency specifically for purchasing S-Class Arcs (weapons). Each S-Class Arc costs 25 Tri-Keys from the Arc Shop. Tri-Keys are earned through gameplay activities and events.
The existence of Tri-Key is directly tied to NTE's most celebrated design decision: there is no weapon banner. Unlike competing gacha games that require players to pull on a separate weapon gacha, NTE makes all top-tier Arcs available through deterministic gameplay currency. This means all gacha pulls go toward characters, while weapons are earned through play.
Elite Hunter Guides
Elite Hunter Guides are character progression materials used for character leveling and advancement. They are earned through gameplay activities and serve as a key resource for raising character power.
Unlike spendable currencies, Elite Hunter Guides are consumed directly in the character leveling process. They function as experience materials that can be applied to characters to increase their level.
Pre-registration reward: 20 Elite Hunter Guides at the 20 million pre-registration milestone.
Warp Pieces
Warp Pieces (also called Warp Chess Pieces) are a secondary currency obtained as a byproduct of the gacha system. They are earned from multiple sources on the Scarborough Fair board:
Hero Chest tiles: Each Hero Chest grants 2 Warp Pieces alongside its main reward
Warp Chess Box tiles: Dedicated tiles that provide Warp Pieces
Slumberland captures: Catching a Slumberland guardian rewards 30 Warp Pieces
Duplicate characters: Pulling a character you already own grants Warp Pieces
Warp Pieces are spent in the Fair Shop, where they can be exchanged for additional pulls or copies of standard characters. This makes them function similarly to Starglitter in Genshin Impact, providing a safety net currency that accumulates as you pull.
Lost Pieces
Lost Pieces are another gacha byproduct currency, obtained from Lost Chess Box tiles on the Scarborough Fair board. They are spent in the Lost Piece Shop, which offers upgrade items and monthly pull allowances.
The Lost Piece Shop provides a monthly refresh of purchasable items, giving players a predictable source of upgrade materials that supplements endgame farming.
Economy Flow
The NTE economy is structured around three distinct spending tracks that rarely overlap:
Gacha Track
Real money converts to Annulith, which converts to Solid Dice for Limited Banner pulls. Free players earn Fabricated Dice through daily activities for Standard Banner pulls. Both tracks generate Warp Pieces and Lost Pieces as byproducts, which recycle into the Fair Shop and Lost Piece Shop respectively.
Weapon Track
Tri-Key is earned through gameplay and exchanged for S-Class Arcs at a rate of 25 per weapon. This track is completely separate from the gacha system, ensuring weapon acquisition is always deterministic.
Progression Track
Beetle Coins fund general purchases and daily city life. Fon funds endgame upgrades, property investments, and the City Tycoon system. Elite Hunter Guides are consumed directly for character leveling.
Pre-Registration Rewards Summary
Milestone | Reward |
|---|---|
15 million | 30,000 Beetle Coins |
20 million | 20 Elite Hunter Guides |
25 million | 5 Fabricated Dice |
30 million | Haniel (A-Rank Psyche character) |
35 million | 15 Fabricated Dice |
Tips for New Players
Save Solid Dice for Limited Banners featuring characters you want. The guaranteed featured character (no 50/50) means every pity hit counts.
Spend Fabricated Dice freely on the Standard Banner. The S-Rank Selector at 50 pulls is a strong early-game boost.
Accumulate Tri-Keys for the S-Class Arc that best matches your main DPS character. Weapons provide consistent power that does not depend on gacha luck.
Do not neglect Fon-earning activities. Endgame upgrade costs are significant, and daily Fon income from Circle Bounty and commissions adds up over time.
Check the Fair Shop and Lost Piece Shop monthly for valuable items. Warp Pieces and Lost Pieces accumulate passively through regular pulling.
