Servers

Initial version (2026-09-16)
Six servers go live when Early Access opens on October 1, 2026. Each is named after one of the gods of Eth-ur, and the placement of the set was shaped by a public server interest poll run on the developer's account site, which was reset and re-optioned more than once during 2026.
Server | Region and ruleset | Boxing | Named for |
|---|---|---|---|
Estaire | US West, player versus environment | No boxing | The god of time |
Trem | US East, player versus environment | No boxing | The god of commerce |
Tilustra | US East, player versus environment | No boxing | The goddess of knowledge |
Kravvin | US, player versus player | No boxing | The god of slaughter |
Nunavoth | US, player versus environment | Up to three boxed clients | The god of gluttony |
Vespyra | Europe, player versus environment | No boxing | The goddess of magic |
Nunavoth is the only server on which running more than one client is permitted, and the limit there is three. There is no game wide boxing policy beyond that table, so the ruleset attaches to the server rather than to the account.
The developer has stated that it is erring on the side of not opening too many servers, and that it will watch population after launch before deciding whether more are needed. If servers are added and later need consolidating, or if six turns out to be too many, the team has committed to publishing a clear overview of how consolidation would work before doing it.
Separately, the no-wipe promise on Early Access means that later players are served by new servers rather than by resets. Fresh servers are planned to open as needed, and once the Early Access development phase completes, fresh servers launch with the full content set available immediately. Those servers may eventually merge with the original ones, depending on server population, overall population and player feedback.
The server interest poll at the start of 2026 offered eight options, and the launch list is narrower than that poll in three specific ways. All three are current as of September 2026:
A roleplay ruleset server was on the list and has been removed from it for now. The developer's wording is removal rather than cancellation, and a team member was hired in 2024 with roleplay server development among their responsibilities, so this is better read as deferred than as abandoned
An Oceania player versus environment server appeared in the February 2026 poll and is not among the six. The launch regions are US West, US East, US player versus player, a US three box server and Europe
The two separate boxing tiers, then called PvE Boxing and PvE 2 Box, were merged into the single three box option that became Nunavoth
Playtest and alpha servers carried entirely different names, and those names still circulate in older material. The September 2025 playtest ran on servers called Relle, Krivea and Eltindra. None of those three is a launch server. The Closed Beta that began in March 2026 ran on two fresh start servers, one player versus environment and one player versus player, with boxing disabled on both. The full testing record is on Development History.
Name reservation opened on September 15, 2026. The first 4,000 names registered on each server are reserved, and each account may reserve one name, which makes server choice a decision to make before reserving rather than after.
Character slots are per server. From September 21, 2026, a subscribed account may create up to five characters on each server. From October 1 that limit rises to 25 per server, inclusive of the five already made. Subscription mechanics are on Subscription and Pricing.
Server design follows from the game's stance on shared space. Zones run independently on commodity hardware, and the developer has stated since its first public technical overview that there is no plan to shard or instance zones. That is what makes camping and pulling in shared zones the intended shape of play rather than an inconvenience, and it is why population per server is treated as a design concern rather than only a capacity one. See Gameplay and Grouping for what that means in practice, and Niche Worlds Cult for the technical background.
