Life Sim Activities make up the cozy half of Monster Fantasy. Jotoyo designed the game so that village life sits alongside the action, letting you play at your own pace rather than forcing you onto a single path. The hero is a customizable amnesiac who arrives in the Kingdom of Eldoras, and from there you are free to hunt giant monsters or settle into a quieter routine of producing, making, and building. The studio sums up this philosophy as play freely, your way.

A range of confirmed life sim activities lets you gather resources, prepare food, brew helpful items, and shape your surroundings. The table below lists each activity and what it involves.
Activity | Description |
|---|---|
Fishing | Cast a line in the waters of Eldoras to catch fish. |
Cooking | Prepare food from ingredients you have gathered, caught, or produced. |
Woodcutting | Chop wood to collect timber for crafting and building. |
Mining | Mine ore and minerals as raw materials for your projects. |
Gathering and Producing | Collect and produce resources that feed into crafting and cooking. |
Potion Making | Brew potions and other useful consumables. |
Crafting Equipment | Craft your own weapons and armor to support your chosen class. |
Building and Home Customization | Build and customize your own home in the village. |

Crafting is woven directly into the life sim loop rather than kept separate. As you gather and produce materials through activities like woodcutting, mining, and gathering, those resources feed into making your own equipment. You craft the gear yourself, and that gear supports your class. For example, the Warrior relies on heavy gear, so a player leaning into that class will want to gather the right materials and craft accordingly. This ties the cozy activities back into combat, since better equipment helps when you take on the giant Monsters.
The balance between action and cozy play is a core part of the design. You are never locked into hunting or homesteading. You can spend a session fishing, cooking, and decorating your home, then head out to fight monsters when you feel like it, working together with Villagers who can join you. Whether you treat Monster Fantasy as an action combat experience, a relaxed village life game, or a mix of both, the choice is yours.
