Monster Fantasy is planned for PC, running on Windows 11, 64-bit, and is distributed worldwide through Steam. The Steam store page now lists a target release window of 2027. The studio has said the final release date will be confirmed once development wraps up, which it expects in summer 2027, so the 2027 window is a target rather than a locked date. The game is a paid product rather than a free-to-play title, and no price has been announced yet. Jotoyo has said its goal is to launch on consoles and PC at the same time, but it cannot confirm console timing yet, so PC via Steam remains the only confirmed platform for now.
Features and Modes
The game offers full controller support and uses the Steam Input API, so players can configure and remap their preferred controllers. Family Sharing is enabled on Steam. Both single-player and co-op play are supported, including online co-op and LAN co-op; the cooperative side is described in more detail on the Multiplayer and Co-op page. Hardware expectations are collected separately on the System Requirements page.
Supported Languages
Monster Fantasy is being localized into a wide set of languages. Interface and subtitle support covers a broader list than full voice audio, which is currently planned for a smaller selection.

Crowdfunding Timeline
Ahead of release, the studio Jotoyo plans a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign, run as one campaign page presented in both English and Japanese. The campaign was originally set for July 15, 2026, but in July 2026 the studio postponed it so that players could first try a more complete demo, and a new date has not been announced. The studio and its funding plans are covered on the Development and Kickstarter page.
Jotoyo now expects to open a playtest in September 2026, and the demo the campaign is waiting for is expected around the same time. Its wider roadmap points to a public demo in spring 2027, an alpha test beforehand, and development finishing in summer 2027, when the final release date will be set. These dates are studio estimates and may shift, so treat them as planned rather than confirmed.
