Pat
August 26, 2026 at 09:28 AM
Added a battle-usage section covering SP cost and trait activation, type and attribute columns on both learn tables, and a cost comparison against the other No Type support moves
Pat is a None type Status move in LumenTale: Memories of Trey. The user pats the target to make it more confident, increasing its Defence. Because it deals no damage and never misses, it is a reliable early support option for shoring up a team's bulk. For how move types interact in battle, see Type Effectiveness Explained.

Pat is in the Status category, so it deals no damage at all: the Defence buff is the whole move. Accuracy is 100, which means it never whiffs, and at a cost of 1 SP it sits in the cheapest tier of No Type support alongside Focal Point. Active Animon draw from a single shared SP pool, so a 1-cost buff leaves more of that pool for the rest of the team's actions on the same turn.
Cost matters for a second reason. Activating an attribute trait charges an extra SP on top of a move's base price, so cheap moves are the ones that can still afford a trait on the same action. That makes Pat an easy pick on an Animon whose trait you want running from the opening turns. See Combat System for how SP and TP are spent, and How to Increase Stats for raising Defence permanently outside battle.
These Animon learn Pat naturally at the listed level.

Seven of the ten Animon that can carry Pat share the Felicis attribute, whose trait heals allies slightly after attacking. That overlap is worth noticing when you are building a team: an Animon holding Pat is often already contributing passive healing, so one slot covers both jobs. See Attributes Explained for how traits unlock and what each one does.
The No Type pool covers most of the game's generic support, and Pat is the cheapest defensive option in it. The table below compares the No Type status moves with confirmed effects so you can see what an extra SP actually buys.
