Trade War

Initial version (2026-10-13)
Trade War (贸易战, written 贸易战争 in parts of the studio's copy) is a trading mode in Lord of Mysteries that the studio announced as new in version 1.3, live from October 15, 2026. Every Beyonder runs a caravan between trade stations, buying goods where they are cheap and selling them where they are dear. The studio pitches it as a casual strategy contest (休闲策略博弈) that does not test damage output or gear score: what counts is spotting a price gap, waiting for the right price and daring to hold stock.
As of October 13, 2026 the mode has not opened. The mode's details on this page come from the studio's version 1.3 preview of October 8, 2026 and its Trade War introduction of October 9, and the preview says fuller rules will follow. See Version History for the rest of the update.

Each player gets a caravan of their own, and the caravan does the travelling: the player does not have to ride from Tingen all the way to the snowy mountains in person. From the trade map they look at stations, prices and the trade news, then decide where to buy a load, where to sell it, whether to speed the trip up, whether the profit is high enough, and whether the tax will eat it.
Every trade station has its own speciality goods. Prices follow supply: where goods pile up the price is pushed down, and where players buy a station out the price climbs. The preview screenshots show a tax rate per station, a carrying capacity (负重) for the caravan, a purchase panel whose prices refresh on a timer with a price trend chart for each good, and station commissions (本站委托) that ask for a set delivery in return for a reward. Caravans can be upgraded, and the preview shows some station information locked until the caravan reaches level 2 or 3.

The studio's advice is never to set out blind. 鲁恩商报 (the Loen trade news) carries the key market information, and merchant group news (商人团消息) reports where the merchant groups roaming the map have got to, whether they are still there and when they are likely to leave. During the Trade War these groups drive their own carriages between trade stations and change local prices when they arrive. Each stop lasts a limited time.
Merchant group | Effect on the station where it stops | Best used for |
|---|---|---|
流金商团 | Raises the selling price of goods at the station | Selling |
丰饶商团 | Lowers the buying price of the matching goods | Buying |
The mode reaches beyond the individual player into clubs. After the Strategy Server event ends, trade stations in the main world are allocated to the winning clubs. A station then shows its club's banner and a local tariff (当地关税), and the busier its trade, the more tax it collects. Club management decides how to set each station's tax rate, so while ordinary players weigh where a load sells best, club officers weigh what rate to charge.
The Strategy Server rules of version 1.2 had already said that a club honour score, worked out from Divine Selection points and Strategy Server combat strength, sets the club ordering for the Trade War on the home server. As of October 13, 2026 the studio has not published how that ordering maps to station allocation.
The studio's introduction closes with a short beginner checklist.
Read the trade news. Do not look only at the current station's prices; check whether a station further away pays better.
Check the tax rate. A high sale price still hurts if the tax is heavy.
Watch the caravan's stamina (体力). Do not spend all of it chasing a little extra profit.
Watch the merchant groups. Discounts and high price buying are both chances, but do not chase a group that is too far away.
Upgrade the caravan first. A better cart raises earning efficiency.
Finish the daily commission tasks (每日委托任务), which are the first source of starting capital.
A version 1.3 event, 鲁恩商道 (Loen Trade Route), opens on October 15, 2026 alongside the mode. Players take part in the Trade War and complete tasks to build up progress toward rewards. The preview screenshot shows daily, weekly and per period task tabs, with daily tasks refreshing at 08:00.
Strategy Server covers the club competition whose results decide who holds the trade stations. Divination Clubs covers the club system itself, Version History records version 1.3 as a whole, and Monetization documents the currencies traders earn and spend.
