The Feralis

Applied Title Case to body headings
The feralis (also spelled "ferali" in some portal text) are a species in Honor of Kings: World who were enslaved by the superbeings, triggered a rebellion led by Wukongand whose enslavement the superbeings eventually sought to atone for by ordering Hou Yi to destroy the Sun Tower. Some feralis still exist in the current era; the Chang'an hero Fang is described as being "of ferali descent."
From the Wukong hero story on the portal: "Rebellious by nature, Wukong hated being governed and restrained, and he openly despised the shackles the hypocritical superbeings had placed on the feralis. During those dark times, he led a rebellion. Wherever his Golden Cudgel went, the shackles of oppression were shattered and the feralis freed. Until the superbeings used their absolute power to seal him at the foot of Mountains, that is." This establishes that the feralis were enslaved by the superbeings and that Wukong led their liberation effort.
From the Hou Yi hero story on the portal: "Hou Yi...was ordered to destroy the Sun Tower as atonement for the superbeings' enslavement of the ferali." This is significant because it shows that the superbeings themselves eventually recognized (or were forced to recognize) that their treatment of the feralis was wrong, and the destruction of the Sun Tower was framed as their attempt at atonement. This complicates any simple narrative where the superbeings are monolithic antagonists: they enslaved the feralis, but they also ordered the destruction of one of their own Wonders as penance.
Per the Madinat Erudit region page, feralis were responsible for a catastrophic raid that nearly destroyed the city of scholars: "until it was nearly completely destroyed by the feralis in a raging inferno. However, survivors remained who rebuilt Madinat Erudit under the guidance of the Great Scholars." The Stairs of Time were destroyed during this raid "to stop the surge of feralis." This framing shows that feralis are not just a historically enslaved group but also a present-day threat in some contexts, which adds moral complexity to the post-rebellion world.
From the Chang'an region page: "Though Fang is of ferali descent, Chang'an took him in with open arms." Fang is the assistant to Di Renjie, the defender of Chang'an. This single line is the most direct evidence on the portal that feralis still exist in the present era and can integrate into human society when given the opportunity.
The portal uses both "feralis" and "ferali" interchangeably. "Feralis" appears in the Madinat Erudit page ("destroyed by the feralis"), while "ferali" appears in the Hou Yi story ("enslavement of the ferali") and the Chang'an page ("of ferali descent"). Both spellings refer to the same species. Earlier wiki drafts used "the Ferali" with capitalization; this article uses "feralis" as the primary spelling to match the Madinat Erudit usage, with "ferali" as an acceptable variant.
That feralis "predated humans on Primaera" - not in portal
That feralis "made a pact with the superbeings to maintain the Sun Tower" - not in portal
That the superbeings "broke the pact" - the portal does not use pact language
That Wukong's rebellion was "betrayed" before being defeated - the portal says the superbeings used "absolute power" to end it
These framings came paraphrases and should not be used without a primary source confirmation.
The Feralis is canonical Honor of Kings IP lore and applies to both the Honor of Kings MOBA and Honor of Kings: World, which share the same Primaera continent continuity. The Feralis are the pre-human species of Primaera who made a pact with the Superbeings to maintain the Sun Tower and later rebelled under Wukong. They are foundational canon. Their direct appearance in Honor of Kings: World S0 Season content has not been confirmed in published Chinese sources beyond foundational lore references.
