Overview
Home building is a player housing system planned for Honor of Kings: World. The feature is scheduled for the v1.2 post-launch update, not available at the game's initial launch. It is positioned as part of the endgame lifestyle loop alongside crafting and gathering activities.
Confirmed features
Players will be able to build, customize, and upgrade personal living spaces. Furniture crafting ties into the broader crafting system, giving players a reason to gather materials beyond combat gear. Housing spaces will support farms and community projects, extending the system beyond purely cosmetic decoration into functional gameplay.
The housing system supports shared-world social interactions, meaning other players can visit and interact with your home. This positions housing as a social hub alongside combat-focused gathering spaces like guilds and towns.
Pet system
A pet companion system launches alongside housing in v1.2. Pets are collectible companions that follow the player through the open world and provide minor passive bonuses. The combination of housing and pets is described as the "cozy endgame hook," designed to give players ongoing, low-stress activities outside of combat progression.
Content roadmap context
Home building is part of a structured post-launch content roadmap. The v1.0 launch focuses on the core action RPG experience with combat, dungeons, and raids. The v1.1 update adds the Forbidden Mountains region and new dungeon content. Housing arrives in v1.2, expanding the game's scope into lifestyle and social systems. The v2.0 update eventually introduces a new continent and raises the level cap.
