Overview
Ling is an assassin-class hero in Honor of Kings: World. Known for his extreme mobility, Ling's Flow style allows the player to scale walls, dash across rooftops, and launch devastating aerial strikes from above. He is the most vertically mobile style in the game, turning the environment itself into a combat tool.
Combat abilities
Item | Description |
|---|---|
Wall dash | runs along walls and vertical surfaces, maintaining full combat readiness |
Descending blade | a plunging attack from elevation that deals damage scaling with fall height |
Shadow step | a rapid ground-level dash that passes through enemies |
Cloud piercer | ultimate that launches Ling high into the air before unleashing a devastating downward strike over a wide area |
Vertical combat
Ling's defining feature is his ability to use vertical surfaces during combat. While other styles fight on the ground plane, Ling dashes up walls, perches on ledges, and launches attacks from angles that enemies cannot easily defend against. In the open world, this vertical mobility also makes him one of the best styles for exploration, as he can reach places others cannot.
Against bosses, Ling's aerial approach allows him to target weak points on tall enemies that ground-based styles cannot reach. His descending blade attack deals bonus damage proportional to the height of the drop, incentivizing players to find the highest available launch point before engaging.
Playstyle
Ling is the most mobile assassin style and rewards spatial awareness. Players who understand the geometry of each arena, where the walls are, what surfaces can be climbed, where the optimal dive angles exist. Will extract far more damage than players who use Ling on flat ground. He pairs well with styles that have strong ground control, as Ling handles vertical threats while the paired style handles horizontal ones.
