Added Jixia Chapter 5 with invitation gate, trial route, and both major boss fights
Jixia Chapter 5: Proof of Strength is the next main-story step after Jixia Chapter 4: Jixia Secrets. Current Chinese walkthrough coverage identifies it as 示以实力之证. The chapter starts by pointing players toward newly opened Companion Invitations, then moves into a platforming trial, the Blazing Giant Lizard fight, and the much harder Crimson Divine Beast encounter that ends with Meng Ya joining the playable Resonance roster.
The chapter explicitly recommends clearing currently unlocked Companion Invitations before pushing the story further.
At this point, the confirmed invitation quests are Xi Shi and Dongfang Yao.
Invitation quests are triggered from ESC > Social Circle > Partners, after completing the relevant partner conversation in that menu.
Start the chapter at the academy, then head toward the Tan Shadow Camp route and speak with Dongfang Yao and the trial instructor.
Complete the first platform trial by collecting 14 light orbs across moving platforms, disappearing red platforms, and hidden platforms. The route has some room for error because more than 14 orbs exist in the arena.
Continue toward Stargazing Observatory and clear the enemy test on the upper approach, watching for the heavy freezing damage from the central mechanism pillars.
Follow Meng Ya to the next field route and trigger the Blazing Giant Lizard boss fight.
Proceed into the cave sequence and prepare for the Crimson Divine Beast, which is the chapter's main difficulty spike.
Finish the Divine Beast fight, return to the academy cutscenes, and unlock Meng Ya as a usable Resonance.
The lizard's base pattern is built around fire breath, repeated tail slams, and a three-part charge where the third dash is a red-light attack.
When it glows and enters its empowered state, the shockwave, tail fire zones, charge speed, and flame coverage all become more dangerous.
Breaking its posture drops the boss back to normal, but the empowered state returns quickly if the fight drags on.
The boss uses claw swipes, breath attacks, slam chains, charges, meteor pressure, and lava-line follow-ups.
Large rock pillars in the arena are required for the meteor phase because they are the only reliable cover against the boss's descending impact.
Meng Ya joins the fight mid-battle, which changes aggro behavior because the boss can start swapping targets between the player and Meng Ya.
Clearing the fight resolves the chapter and unlocks Meng Ya for permanent use.
Chapter 5 is where the Jixia story stops being a pure academy mystery arc and starts operating like a team-expansion arc. It layers Companion Invitations, chapter-gated trials, and two boss fights into one route, then pays it off with Meng Ya joining the roster at the end.
