The Blazing Giant Lizard is a Chapter 5 boss in Honor of Kings: World. The fight occurs during Jixia Chapter 5: Proof of Strength after the player clears the light-orb trial and advances from Stargazing Observatory toward the upper Stargazing Range route with Meng Ya.
Confirmed Location
Region: Jixia Far Mountains, Stargazing Range
Story placement: Jixia Chapter 5: Proof of Strength
Recommended challenge setup in current boss coverage: Child of the Primal Flow plus Xi Shi

Move Set
Wide fire breath aimed into a forward cone.
Repeated tail slams targeted at the player's current position.
A three-part charge string where the third rush becomes a red-light attack that can be countered.
Tongue sweeps after certain forward-mouth windups, often chained into a downward slam.
Empowered State
When the boss raises its body and begins glowing, it enters an empowered state. This is the fight's main escalation point. The lizard adds a large roar shockwave, faster tail slams that leave fire on the ground, quicker charges, and wider flame coverage.
The charge string remains a three-hit pattern even in the empowered state.
The third charge still behaves like the key red-light counter window.
Breaking the boss's posture drops it back to normal, but the empowered phase can return quickly if the fight drags on.
Practical Fight Notes
Perfect dodges remain the cleanest answer to both the tail chain and the empowered breath patterns.
The boss's backward hop is the clearest tell that a charge sequence is about to start.
Because the lizard's most dangerous tools are linear, lateral movement is safer than retreating straight backward.
Story Role
The Blazing Giant Lizard is the chapter's field-boss checkpoint before the route continues into the harder Crimson Divine Beast encounter. It is also the point where the Chapter 5 route fully commits to the Meng Ya expedition through the observatory side of Jixia.
