Jiang Ziya (Jiang Shang, traditionally dated around the 11th century BCE) is a legendary strategist and advisor who helped King Wen and King Wu of Zhou overthrow the Shang Dynasty. He is a central figure in the classical Chinese fantasy novel Investiture of the Gods (封神演义, Fengshen Yanyi), where he commands a coalition of heroes and deities during the war between Shang and Zhou. His role in fiction combines strategic wisdom, Taoist magic, and a grandfatherly mentor figure.
In the Honor of Kings MOBA, Jiang Ziya is a mage hero whose kit centers on supporting allies and applying debuffs to enemies. If added to Honor of Kings: World in a future season, his kit could fit either a 强攻 (Offensive) mage role or a 辅助 (Support) role depending on how TiMi adapts him.
