The Dream Realm event for Meng Ya is one of four launch Dream Realms confirmed active when Honor of Kings: World opened its Season 0 service on April 10, 2026. It is anchored to a co-op team campaign called Meeting Beyond the Canyon (峡谷外相遇), which runs from April 1, 2026 at 10:00 through May 20, 2026 at 23:59. The homepage of world.qq.com tags Meng Ya's Dream Realm as currently open, and links it to the teaser slogan "燃烧吧!蒙犽" (Burn, Meng Ya!).
Meng Ya's Dream Realm is the most co-op-focused of the four active launch Dream Realms. Rather than challenging a world boss the way Dongfang Yao's Crimson Divine Beast fight does, it asks the player to form a team of up to four friends through a matching mini-program, select a set of signature heroes together, and complete in-game objectives with that team after launch. The payoff is the headline Whimsical Doll Meow (狂想玩偶喵) resonance skin for Meng Ya's Little Cannon Kid (烈炮小子) form, plus Jingpo currency and pet and name-card cosmetics.
Overview
Dream Realm is the umbrella name Tencent uses for hero-themed limited-time events in Honor of Kings: World. Each Dream Realm pairs one launch Resonance with a themed activity and cosmetic track. Meng Ya's Dream Realm keys off his mischievous cat-and-koi fantasy: the centerpiece reward is the Whimsical Doll Meow resonance skin, which reskins Meng Ya's gun crew into a plush cat with rocket-propelled cat-paw missiles and rainbow fish projectiles.
The world.qq.com homepage lists Meng Ya's Dream Realm as 现已开启 (now open) during the S0 launch window, running alongside the Dream Realms for Dongfang Yao, Sun Bin, and Master Lu Ban. The Xi Shi Dream Realm, which had been tied to the pre-launch nickname registration page, had already closed by the time of the April 12, 2026 audit of the same homepage.
Event Mechanics
Meeting Beyond the Canyon is a team-based activity that runs on the official campaign page at world.qq.com and pays out rewards into the live game. The TapTap official announcement for the activity confirms the following structure:
Team formation (up to 4 players). Each player answers five questions that match them with a signature hero persona, and the campaign page generates an exclusive tag and short story for the team based on the answers.
Team modification rules. After the initial match, players can revise their chosen hero once. The team is capped at four people. Members can be voted out or are automatically removed after three consecutive inactive days. Leaving the team has a cooldown: the first three departures are free, departures four to six impose a one-day cooldown, and subsequent departures impose a three-day cooldown.
Three reward tiers. Each milestone unlocks once every member of the team completes the relevant step. The tiers are signature-hero selection, in-game character registration, and in-game team participation after launch.
Progress persistence. The TapTap notice warns that, before the rewards are claimed, any change in team members resets the task progress. Once a reward has been claimed at a tier, further roster changes do not roll it back.
Meng Ya the Resonance is not gated behind this event. Per the S0 launch guides, Meng Ya is unlocked as a free Resonance by progressing to the Chapter 5 beat in the main story, which on average lands around character level 20. The Whimsical Doll Meow skin therefore reskins a hero the player already owns by default, rather than representing a gated hero unlock.
Rewards
The full reward list from the TapTap official announcement for Meeting Beyond the Canyon is reproduced below. Each tier requires every player on a 4-person team to finish the relevant step before the whole team can claim.
Tier | Requirement | Reward |
|---|---|---|
1 | All four team members select matching signature heroes | 50 Jingpo (晶珀) + 2,000 Huanjin (环金) |
2 | All four team members register a Honor of Kings: World character | Canyon Memory Name Card (峡谷之忆名片) x1 |
3 | All four members team up for the in-game event after launch | Meng Ya Resonance Skin: Whimsical Doll Meow (蒙犽幻化·狂想玩偶喵) x1, Minion Pet Selectable Gift Box (小兵宠物自选礼盒) x1 |
The Whimsical Doll Meow skin reskins Meng Ya's Little Cannon Kid (烈炮小子) Resonance form. Per the GamerSky resonance skin atlas, the same hero record (英雄录·蒙犽) grants the default Little Cannon Kid appearance, and the only way to pick up the cat-themed reskin in the S0 launch window is the Meeting Beyond the Canyon campaign tied to this Dream Realm. The skin visually converts the hero into a plush cat with a large bell collar, fires schools of fish from the default cannon, and swaps the ultimate's missile barrage into cat-paw dolls that splash into golden koi on impact.
Duration and Schedule
The Meeting Beyond the Canyon campaign page and the TapTap official announcement both list the active window as 2026年4月1日 10:00:00 ~ 2026年5月20日 23:59:59. The first two tiers (signature-hero selection and character registration) are reachable from April 1 onward, while the third tier, which grants the Whimsical Doll Meow skin, requires in-game team play and therefore only becomes clearable once the S0 service launched on April 10, 2026. The window covers six full weeks after launch, which gives latecomers time to organize a team and hit every milestone.
Tips and Strategy
Lock the team early. Roster changes before reward claim reset the team's progress. Once you have four committed players, clear the first two tiers in one session to remove the reset risk before anyone drops out.
Complete tier two before booting inactive members. Tier two only requires each member to register a character, not to continue playing, so a busy friend can still unblock the team without leveling up. Voting out or auto-removing an inactive member resets in-progress tasks that have not yet been claimed.
Do not split team Jingpo for Meng Ya. The 50 Jingpo is granted individually to each member, and Meng Ya is a free hero from the main story, so nobody on the team needs to pool currency to unlock him. Spend the payout on stamina purchases or save it for another hero from the shop.
Know the departure cooldowns. The first three leave-team actions are free, the next three impose a one-day cooldown, and any further leave attempts impose a three-day cooldown. If you are event-shopping and plan to help multiple teams, plan the order of your departures accordingly.
Coordinate name-card and skin claims. Tier two pays a Canyon Memory Name Card to everyone on the team, and tier three pays the Whimsical Doll Meow skin only if the team plays together in-game after launch. Plan a shared play night for tier three rather than relying on individual drop-ins.
Skin Lore
The Whimsical Doll Meow skin debuted in the original Honor of Kings MOBA as a Season 21 Battle Pass tier-80 exclusive. Its lore background is set in the nighttime Daytime Park (白昼乐园), where Meng Ya dozes atop a giant koi and wakes to find the dream-world full of swimming fish and rainbow skies. Honor of Kings: World reintroduces the skin as a resonance form: when applied through the Dream Realm reward, it replaces the default Little Cannon Kid Resonance skin rather than the hero model itself. This makes it the headline cosmetic of the four launch Dream Realms, since it is the only full-body resonance skin available through Season 0 event rewards without using the Heavenly Reward banner.
Monetization Notes
Meeting Beyond the Canyon is free to participate in. The Whimsical Doll Meow skin is not purchasable from the shop for currency during the S0 launch window, so the event is the only way to earn it without waiting for a future re-release. The 2,000 Huanjin (环金) and 50 Jingpo (晶珀) tier-one payouts are soft-currency grants and do not come from the Heavenly Reward banner. The event does not interact with the Gacha and Pity System in any way. See the main Monetization article for how the Jingpo and Huanjin economies link into the S0 progression plan.
