Revision 1

A Piece of the Pie is Lares's Chapter 1 request for 400 ore nuggets from Baal Isidro's swampweed shipment. It contributes to Admission to the New Camp after the Hero has earned Lares's trust.

Prepare the negotiation

Speak to Baal Kagan near the entrance to the New Camp residential cavern and complete Canvassing Customers. Learn about Baal Isidro before visiting him in the lakeside tavern.

The tavern guards allow entry for a Hero wearing Digger's Dress who claims to be a Scraper, or after payment of 100 ore nuggets. Climbing onto the balcony is another entry route, but leaving through the front afterward can provoke the occupants.

Sell the shipment

Offer Isidro a drink and explain that Kagan wants him replaced. Negotiate a fifty-fifty arrangement to sell the rolls. Taking the shipment also starts The Herb Merchant.

Find Cipher on the tavern's upper floor and use his trade conversation to sell the full shipment for 400 ore nuggets. Keep that amount available for Lares: spending the proceeds does not remove the amount required by the quest.

Report to Lares

Give Lares 400 ore nuggets to complete the request and earn 500 XP. The full amount can be handed to Lares despite the proposed split with Isidro. If the money has already been spent, the Hero must earn enough to cover the shortfall before reporting. Side Quests lists the Rice Lord's related admission jobs.
