Spirit Pearl

The Spirit Pearl is the player character of Genigods: Nezha. It is described as the very first spark of life, forged by the goddess Nüwa from the essence of earth, water, and fire, and later reincarnated as Nezha.
The Spirit Pearl predates the player's story. It is the first life Nüwa created, made from three elements, and one of the game's three central quests is to uncover the truth of that origin. This makes the protagonist's own nature a plot question rather than settled background, which is unusual for a mythological action game.
Nüwa gifts the player the Heart of the Spirit Pearl, a heart infused with divine water. The studio describes it as both a constant companion and the wellspring of the player's power, and it is mechanically central rather than decorative. Two named systems draw on it directly:
Fluid-mystic abilities are awakened by tapping into the Heart of the Spirit Pearl.
Focusing its power imbues weapons with sacred water, which triggers EX effects.
The divine water it carries is also what connects the character to the game's combat philosophy. See Combat System for how that plays out.
Press materials describe a three-stage evolution across the game: the protagonist begins as a porcelain vessel, becomes the first mortal human, and finally ascends into a celestial warrior. The store page separately refers to awakening a three-headed, eight-armed form.
How these stages map onto progression has not been explained. It is not confirmed whether they are story beats, unlockable combat forms, difficulty gates, or some combination.

First-party English material is not fully consistent here. The store page refers to Nezha with a feminine pronoun in one passage while the character is traditionally male, and the studio uses both Genigods and GeniGods across different materials. Neither has been clarified, so this wiki avoids pronouns for the character and uses the store page's Genigods spelling.
