Her personal skill, Merchants' Manager, carries the same idea into a battle, letting her and nearby allies retrieve items from Storage mid-fight so a unit beside her can re-arm without falling back for supplies. 1414 The clearest scene the guild has been given is a negotiation. Talimun asks Ursula how much liquid cash he has to hand; she runs the numbers aloud, subtracting taxes, wages and repairs to the Zlatan, and names a figure. Talimun then turns to Dietrich and offers 3.9 million gold for his sword. Ursula's objection is that the figure is three times their limit; his answer is that the difference comes out of his own pocket, because "this kind of fellow won't budge if we don't take on some risk."

The published framing of the pair is that Ursula is often at the mercy of her employer's whims and that the two share a strong mutual trust underneath it.

The common reading is that it is the guild's ship, which would fit a trading house that has been on the road long enough to owe wages and taxes along the way.
