11Growth rates give the chance of a stat increasing when a unit gains a level. A 50% growth rate means a 50% chance of gaining one point in that stat.2233Character growth rates and class growth modifiers combine to determine the rate used for a level-up. Classes can add positive or negative modifiers, while Commoner adds none. Mount bonds can provide additional growth bonuses. The character pages list their individual rates; Mu's listed figures include Signs of Growth.445+Merge Causality6+7+After Part III's first section, visit the Shrine of Causality in the Obelisk Chamber and choose Merge Causality. Select the character and a main route version, then spend 300 Karma Shards. Recruit and train a character on several routes first to create the versions available to combine.8+9+The result keeps the highest value for each stat across those versions. It does not add their stat totals together. Learned abilities, Combat Arts and skill levels from Parts I and II also carry across.10+11+A merge is most useful when a frequently deployed unit has large differences between versions. Compare the gains before spending shards, since the same currency also buys Boons of Salvation. Talking to a previously eligible recruit in Dagsion during Part III does not require paying for a merge.12+13+See Class Build Routes for possible training paths and Recruitment for the route requirements that create additional versions.14+515Related pages616717Skills, Classes, List of Characters, Animal Mounts
