Added the Part III unlock for the class, how the Cataphract and War Monk are unlocked, and war elephants in the War Arc and a Part III subquest; dated open gaps
11The Elephant Rider is an Advanced class in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave that fights astride an elephant. Nintendo's dedicated presentation called the class overwhelmingly powerful and grouped it with the classes that fight while astride giant beasts. It is the only playable class published so far that takes up more than one square on the battle map.2233Profile4455FieldValueTierAdvancedUnit typeMounted, riding an elephantMap footprintTwo squares by two, four tiles in allProficiencyMarked with a spiral rather than one of the six standard weapon typesMovementNot publishedAttack patternStrikes multiple enemies in its path6677The Two by Two Footprint8899An Elephant Rider occupies four tiles rather than one. That changes how the unit moves through a map: it needs a clear four-tile space to end a move in, and it blocks four tiles' worth of a corridor while it stands there. The size also feeds the attack pattern, since the class strikes multiple enemies in its path rather than a single target in front of it.10101111War elephants appear on the enemy side as well, occupying the same two by two space. Pre-launch footage identifies one of the oversized enemies on a map as a war elephant, so the mount is part of the setting rather than a player-only novelty.12121313Weapons14141515The class screen marks the Elephant Rider's proficiency with a spiral rather than with one of the six weapon icons. That spiral is the marker this game uses for armaments outside the standard set, the same grouping the beast units draw their claws and fangs from. As of September 2026, no named weapon has been attached to the class, and no rank letter has been shown for it. Weapons covers the six standard types and the two monster entries recorded alongside them.16161717Anna18181919Anna is the one character shown in the class. She appears as a playable guest unit riding an elephant, is listed with the Temples of Dagda, and becomes available through a quest she shares with Solel. Her roster entry keeps its class field inside commented-out scaffolding, so the Elephant Rider identification rests on a screenshot caption rather than on a filled-in data block.20202121Certification222223-The Elephant Rider does not appear on the certification exam list shown during the presentation, which named eleven Advanced classes. The Cataphract, the Dragoon and the War Monk sit in the same position. As of September 2026, no official class screen or presentation states whether an ordinary unit can certify into any of them, or whether they belong only to specific characters. Certification Exams covers what is known about the exam system.23+The Elephant Rider does not appear on the certification exam list shown during the presentation, which named eleven Advanced classes, and in the released game it is held back until late in the story. It unlocks at the start of the first Free Time of Part III, where it is listed with the Advanced classes. The Cataphract and the War Monk, two other classes missing from that exam list, are also unlocked partway through the story: the Cataphract through a Send Supplies quest on Theodora's path, and the War Monk as the reward for Aurora's request in Part III. Certification Exams covers the exam system.242425+War Elephants in the Story26+27+War elephants turn up on both sides of the story. In the War Arc, Lind fights at the Alcineus Span with war elephants in his force. In Part III, the subquest The Elephant Rider's Bond, given by an injured elephant rider in Temple Row and available only if Cai was brought into Part III, asks for two Hakuren, a rare farm item from the Resurgence Stone in Elektra, and pays out two Saramis War Elephants, 10,000 gold and 50 Renown.28+2529Class Stats263027-As of September 2026, no base stats, growth rates, stat modifiers or class skills for the Elephant Rider have appeared on any class screen, and no movement value has been shown.
