Added the Xbox store capability badges and Play Anywhere listing; re-dated Steam Deck notes
The PC version of FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE sells through Steam and the Microsoft Store on Windows, and the Xbox store lists the game as an Xbox Play Anywhere title. Its Steam listing publishes the requirements below; both tiers call for a 64-bit processor and operating system, and Windows is the only supported OS, with no macOS or Linux build. The hardware bar is low: the same GeForce GTX 1650 appears in both tiers, with the graphics preset and framerate target doing the scaling between them.
Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
OS | Windows 11 (64-bit) | Windows 11 (64-bit) |
Processor | AMD Ryzen 3 2300X or Intel Core i3-8100 | AMD Ryzen 5 2500X or Intel Core i3-8100 |

Graphics | AMD Radeon RX 6400, Intel Arc A580, or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 | AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT, Intel Arc A580, or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 |
DirectX | Version 12 | Version 12 |
Storage | 15 GB available space | 15 GB available space |
Target performance | 1920x1080 at 30 FPS, Low graphics preset | 1920x1080 at 60 FPS, Highest graphics preset |
The Steam version ships with Denuvo Anti-tamper DRM. The game is single-player and offers full controller support. Steam features listed for the title cover Steam Achievements, Steam Trading Cards, Steam Cloud, and Family Sharing. The store page also tags several accessibility categories, including a keyboard-only option and play without timed input.
A free demo released on September 3, 2026. It is published as its own Steam application rather than as a feature of the paid listing, which is why no demo appears in that listing's feature block. The demo covers the game through the end of Chapter 1, runs roughly 3 to 5 hours, and its save data carries into the full game. As of October 11, 2026, the demo application carries no Steam Deck rating of its own.
The game was rated Steam Deck Verified on July 13, 2026, and carries the equivalent verified rating for SteamOS and for Steam Machine. Valve's published test results record that the default controller configuration is fully functional, controller glyphs match the device, interface text is legible, and the default configuration performs well.
Two caveats are recorded alongside the rating:
First-time setup requires an active internet connection.
External controllers are not supported for the primary player.
A Verified rating on a handheld is a reasonable signal for the desktop requirements above, since the Deck sits below the recommended specification. That rating still stands as of October 11, 2026, and as of the same date Square Enix has not published separate performance targets for any console version. The nearest thing is the Xbox store listing, which carries the capability badges 4K Ultra HD, 60 fps+ and Optimized for Xbox Series X|S; those are storefront flags, not a performance statement from Square Enix.
