Beginner's Guide

Added a beginner checklist linking combat, travel and progression guides
Build the opening party around survival and elemental coverage. A healer needs enough MP to respond after an enemy acts; a breaker needs attacks that match the next enemy's weaknesses. Change the loadout when those needs change.
Compare shop equipment against what the party already owns. Spend on a clear weakness in the current setup before replacing every slot. Stock healing and revival items, rest, and make a manual save. Blue exclamation marks identify side-quest NPCs; check side paths for chests and sparkling pickups.
Job in the party | Starting approach |
|---|---|
Protection | Rain can draw attacks. Warrior of Light supplies defensive abilities; prioritize keeping the protector healthy. |
Element coverage | Give Lasswell or another attacker attacks for the weaknesses you expect. Tronn adds fire, ice and lightning spells. |
Recovery | Fina and Leah provide healing options. Keep a recovery command available when experimenting with offensive Visions. |
These are role choices, not a fixed ranking. After changing a Vision, review learned abilities and the AP budget so that a useful old command stays equipped.
Use the timeline to identify who acts next. Stagger a threatening enemy before its action when possible, and reserve enough MP for healing. Mastery training, awakening and character EXP are separate forms of progress. Early EXP and MRP Farming explains the first repeatable training options; Vision Awakening covers spending magicite.
