11Your power in Farever comes from the gear you wear, the weapons you wield, and the consumables you carry into a fight. This page covers how equipment is structured, how you upgrade it, and how the in-world economy ties it all together. Much of your best gear is crafted, so it pairs closely with Professions and Crafting.2233Gear Types4455Equipment maps onto the crafting trades, which is why investing in jobs is the most direct way to kit yourself out. The main gear categories confirmed so far are listed below.6677Gear TypeNotesHeavy armorSturdy protection forged by Blacksmiths, built to withstand sustained combat.Cloth garments and footwearLighter equipment tailored by Outfitters.Rings and necklacesJewelry crafted by Jewelers to bolster your abilities.Socketed gemsGems set into gear to enhance it, also a Jeweler product.88Weapons and Upgrading991010Weapons can be upgraded using materials, and that upgrading is gated by weapon level. Current weapon upgrade materials can only be used on the current weapon level range, so the materials that improve an early weapon will not carry over to a higher-tier one. Plan your material use around the weapon you are actually pushing. For the full breakdown of how weapons fit into combat and loadouts, see Weapons and the Arsenal.11111212Item Types13131414Beyond armor and weapons, Farever has several distinct item categories that you will collect, craft, and consume during play.15151616Item TypeDescriptionGemsSet into sockets to enhance gear, crafted by Jewelers.EnchantmentsA distinct item type used to augment equipment.SparkstonesA named consumable resource item.TrinketsA gear category that includes items such as the Eternal Flower Heart.MotesMaterials that drop from Golems.ConsumablesPotions and vials from the Alchemist, plus food from the Cook.1717Currency and Gold18181919Gold is Farever's main currency. You spend it to learn jobs and to buy items, and you earn it by selling off loot and surplus crafted goods. Gold is capped at a maximum of 499,999, so once you approach that ceiling it is worth putting your earnings to use rather than hoarding.20202121Banking and Storage22222323Each character has access to a personal bank for stashing resources and items. The bank holds 100 slots, and you can send stackable resources to it to keep your active inventory tidy. Items that stack do so up to a maximum of 1000 per stack, which makes the bank a practical home for the bulk materials your professions chew through.24242525Trading26262727Trading is a recognized activity among players, with a dedicated trading discussion board where the community organizes exchanges. That said, no in-game auction house has been confirmed, so structured player-to-player trade currently happens through community arrangement rather than a formal in-game marketplace.28+29+Rarity Tiers30+31+Gear and items come in five rarity tiers. Higher tiers carry stronger stats and, on equipment, extra stat lines. Most loot falls between Common and Epic, while Legendary items are exceptionally rare in the current build.32+33+TierGradeNotesCommon1Basic gear and raw materials.Uncommon2Early gear with a modest stat boost; the most common drop tier.Rare3Named weapons and the faction armor sets.Epic4High-end gear, including most mounts.Legendary5The rarest tier; almost nothing reaches it yet.34+Armor Slots35+36+A full loadout fills eight armor slots plus several trinket slots. Pieces for every slot drop across the world, from dungeons, and from crafting.37+38+Slot GroupSlotsArmorHead, Shoulders, Chest, Hands, Waist, Legs, Feet, BackTrinketsRings, Necklace, and Trinket slots39+Armor Sets40+41+Beyond the hundreds of common and uncommon pieces that drop everywhere, four faction sets and one crafted set make up the named Rare armor. Each faction set is themed after the enemies you take it from, so the set you chase often decides where you farm.42+43+SetPiecesUsed ByWhere It Comes FromBee22All classesGear of the bee Apix clan; drops from Honeywoods creatures and bee dungeons like Trunk of the Hivetree.Kobold23All classesCheese-obsessed kobold gear; drops from Mine Estrone and other kobold dungeons.Crimson23All classesGear of the Crimson Rams order; drops in the Crimson Citadel and its dungeons.Manfish23All classesAquatic Manfish gear; drops in coastal and underwater areas like the Lost City of Mayda.Craft16All classesCrafted set pieces made by the Outfitter, Blacksmith, and other trades.44+Set pieces all sit at Rare quality and cover the same eight armor slots, so a complete faction set is a real progression goal as you work toward the level cap.45+46+Trinkets47+48+Trinkets are rings, necklaces, and trinket-slot items that sharpen one stat, usually a penetration rating, critical, or Fervor. Many are crafted by the Jeweller or Alchemist, while the simpler ones drop in the world. The full list in the current build is below.49+50+TrinketTypeRarityFocusReq.
