Cosmetics and the Shop

Initial version (2026-05-28)
Farever uses a straightforward, player-friendly monetization model. You buy the game once and own it, and the only optional spending on top of that is purely cosmetic. This page lays out how the business model and the planned in-game shop work.
Farever is a premium, buy-to-play game. The base price is $19.99, and there is no subscription to keep playing. One purchase grants full access to the world of Siagarta and its ongoing updates during Early Access.
A planned in-game shop will offer cosmetic items only. The confirmed categories are listed below.
Armor skins
Mounts
Pets
Gliders
Other cosmetic items
These items are bought with a separate currency that is available for purchase. Everything in the shop is optional and cosmetic, and the developers have stated plainly that these items will not have any gameplay impact or give any advantage to players who buy them. The name of the premium currency has not been confirmed.
The dividing line is clear: paying never makes your character stronger. Power comes from playing the game, gathering, crafting, and earning gear, while the shop only changes how your character and companions look. There is no pay-to-win element to the monetization, and no battle pass has been mentioned.
As a thank you to players who supported Farever during its Early Access launch, some cosmetic items were made available for free at launch. These were given to supporters as a gesture rather than sold.
The shop is described as something that will arrive at some point, which means it may not be fully live from day one and could roll out later in the game's life. The intent and the cosmetic-only scope are confirmed; the exact timing of when the full shop opens is still open. For how the shop fits into the broader development plan, see Early Access and Roadmap.
